Canadian Thanksgiving

We've had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with my husband's sister and her hubby. Roast beef, turkey and all the trimmings.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Mine was good...however, since my grandparents are very sick this year we did not have the typical huge turkey dinner. We usually are surrounded by our large extended family....I missed not getting to have this happen this year. But, oh well...my parents and brother had a nice intimate and quiet family dinner of cabbage rolls, vegetables, rice and hot tea. It was nice. I am a lot to give thanks for and am glad to have a day dedicated to doing so.

I hope your Thanksgiving was well spent with family members and good friends.

Thanksgiving was the usual 2 and a half hour drive and spend the whole weekend with family - we stay at the in-laws. Saturday we went apple picking with 2 of my nephews, a girlfriend, and the girlfriend's mother. Then Sunday it's with hubby's father's side of the family, but many couldn't make it this year, so it wound up with mostly hubby's immediate family and a couple aunts and uncles. Monday was hubby's family and celebrating our oldest birthday. Then off for the 2 and half hour drive home.

The bonus was that I got to have 2 turkey dinners in a row!!! I love turkey with stuffing!!!

I just have to say that Canadians are my favorite people. They are so nice! Lots of my favorite actors and musicians are Canadian too :)

It's getting close. The kids just went back to school yesterday and Thanksgiving is just around the corner, which is so exciting. I just love this time of year, can't wait.

I can't believe a whole year has gone by already. The stores are chock full of Thanksgiving decorations and items. Went to the market on the weekend and saw some pie pumpkins already. Let the fun begin!

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching once again, I am very excited! It has been perfect autumn weather this week for baking. I love Thanksgiving, it is one of my favorite holidays. And once it is here, I know Christmas is on its way once again!

We've finally had some Fall like weather down in the south. Highs only in the 70's today.
I always take the week of Thanksgiving off every year. I use one of those days to bake 200-250 chocolate chip cookies. Me and the kids will wipe them out in 2-3 weeks. I always gain a lot of weight between Thanksgiving and New Years.

It is that time of year again, only 12 days until Thanksgiving. I am so excited to let all the holidays begin. Leaves are all changing and Christmas decorations are already popping up at many stores. Bring on the holidays!
