i just found you trying to figure out how early i need to head out to get a good spot to watch our upcoming santa claus parade... i've been driving my family crazy with my wreath-making and eggnog-drinking for months!

 Welcome smartygirl from just east of the Big City!  I've been down to the Toronto parade a couple of times and find that for the best spots you need to be down there at least a couple of hours before it begins (depending of course on if your sitting near the start or finish of the parade).
