Thanks CandyKane! :D
If only DS would let us trim his hair just a bit. He almost agreed to have his bangs cut than changed his mind at the last. Ever since we had to shave his head a couple of years ago he has been afraid even of a trim.

Anyone watch TLC last night. It had 2 Christmas light specials. I can't remember the name of the first one, but the second was called Invasion of the Christmas Lights. Very interesting and amusing. :blinky1:

We're going to watch the Christmas parade tonight. The last few nights they temps have been below 20 degrees but tonight it's suppossed to be warmer. I really hope the rain/freezing rain holds off for a while too.

It's looking like a Christmas winter wonderland. I always love the look of fresh snow here in the country. The kids came home from school yesterday and immediately went out to play. It may last this time, depends on how much rain we get when the storm hits. Starting with snow tonight, then switching to rain tomorrow and back over to snow later in the day :snovel: .

Just on to see how everyone else is doing, helping the wife wrap gifts while listening to Christmas music. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday, only two more before Christmas :smilecc:

Last nights Christmas parade was really good. While the crowd seemed a bit smaller they had several more floats than they did last year. After it was over we drove around and looked at Christmas lights. :treeclap:

We have had rain most of last night and all day today. I saw on the weather channel where 25 states are experiencing winter weather today. The snowfall in Flagstaff was amazing. I loved looking at all those beautiful snowy Christmas scenes. :flake: :throw: :pile:

We just finished watching Disney's new Christmas show Prep and Landing. It's really cute. Now we're watching a Miser Brothers Christmas. :smilecc:

US scientists calculated that Santa would have to visit 822 homes a second to deliver all the world's presents on Christmas Eve, travelling at 650 miles a second.

THE word Christmas comes from the Old English "Cristes maesse" meaning "Christ's Mass".

With my schedule this week I only have Sunday off and of course another 60 hr week next week. I am scheduled for Christmas Eve but get off a few hours early- yay!! :smilecc:

Well it's official as of 6:13 am the kids have their first snow day of the season today. :snowday:
DS is thrilled of course!
The girls are sleeping, DD5 will be disappointed she loves school and only goes Monday,Wednesday and every other Friday.
Waiting on word that DH makes it safely to work. It's a wicked storm here.

Hows everyone's Christmas shopping going? :shop: Are you finished, almost finished or no where near?
I am close to being finished. If the weather is good early Saturday morning I will head out. I have a 3 hour time frame to get some more done. Whatever is left after Saturday will have to wait until the weekend before Christmas to finish up. :merrygift:

After a marathon wrapping session this morning, I finally have all the Christmas gifts ready to take to church. I'm going to drop them off this morning while I'm out running other errands. Our newspaper prints the kids letters to Santa so we have to drop off dd's letter. :smilecc:

This Saturday is our annual Christmas day out with our friends. We always have a great time. We're going shopping and we'll finish the day off with a Christmas banquet. :D

I let dd open one of her gifts today. The new Veggie Tales Christmas dvd--Saint Nicholas A Story of Joyful Giving. It is excellant. I highly recommend it for anyone with young kids. :rabstar:

A bunch of us got together and worked on cleaning our church last night. Tonight we are going to finish decorating the hall and tomorrow night we have practice for our Christmas program. Saturday is a full day with our friends then Sunday is our Christmas program. And Monday night we are having Christmas dinner here at our house for some friends.

I love this time of year. I just wish there was more time to fit everything in. :holly1:

It is so cold here. The temps got down to 10 degrees last night. Brrrrrr :cold: It has warmed up to above freezing today so it feels a little better outside. We're not suppossed to have any precipatation for the next few days. But I'm still wishing for a White Christmas. :snowball:

I went shopping today for some things for our Christmas program. Instead of a meal we'll just be serving finger foods. So I'm making a cheese and cracker plate, meatballs, a fruit plate, and a loaf of pumpkin bread. :dinner:
