1. My engagement ring! My hubby purposed on Christmas Eve in front of my family.
2. my see thru light up phone (at age 16)
3. My Barbie RV

We once had a lifetime of collectable family ornaments.......we started over a couple of years ago, and these we cherish:

1. handmade ball ornament by my daughter
2. newly bought ornament inscribed w/family name from my DH
3. a handprint ornament from my young son
4. a Suns basketball ornament from my in-laws [my DH loves the team!]
5. one old glass ornament grandmother has tucked safely away

1. Downtown Christmas parade with "Christmas in the Park"
2. Making tamales with both my family and my in-laws.
3. Weekend of Thanksgiving because the radio stations start playing Christmas tunes.
4. Nutcracker practice (my DD)
5. Countdown to Christmas on the ABC Family channel

1. Try to recover from eating too much Christmas Eve & Christmas Day -- by eating leftovers! :dinner:
2. Play with gifts..........and the kids!
3. Visit with family & friends.
4. Football on tv for the men//women watch Christmas flicks!
5. Feel a bit sad its over.........for a while!

This Christmas will be very different as neither my Mother, father or older brother are here to celebrate with us.

1. Menu changes: serving new dishes
2. Music: some Christmas music will be too painful this 1st Christmas w/o Mom
3. Less gifts: but more love in giving them to those who remain at the table
4. Time: I'll put up the tree later and take it down earlier
5. Memories: more memories to cherish this Christmas

some of my favorite traditions are pretty basic things

1- church christmas dinner
2- lighting of the tree rockefeller center
3- giving gifts to family and friends
4- all the holiday house decorations
5- carolers (this one isn't as popular anymore but i alwasy loved carolers!)

Pretjah, basic means tranditional and families are glued together by them and that makes them special! :smilecc:

1. Evaluate wreaths/garlands and order new ones if needed
2. Buy new ornaments/craft new ornaments for tree
3. Bake fruitcake and soak in rum
4. Send out Christmas cards
5. Watch a Christmas flick!
