"CHRISTMAS" Thread - 1500

The place for Christmas and non-Christmas chatter.

I have a long day ahead of me and I really dread getting started. It's so hot out and I have lots of errands to run. Really wish I could skip the rest of the summer and go straight into Fall. :peekleaves2:

Is it Christmas yet????

Someone needs some Christmas spirit: they vandalized my mailbox last night and left my mail stewn on the gravel all around it. I'd like to say I responded with a Ho Ho Ho.......that would not be true.......so mail is on hold for a week.

Noel---What a crummy thing to have happen. Hope they catch them soon before they can do it to anyone else. Good thing it didn't happen in December. It would be really sad to see all those Christmas cards lying on the ground. :|

I went out to my parents this evening to see my nephew. He's staying with them for awhile before school starts. I got tickled at him today. He's only been with Grandpa and Grandma for a few hours and he's already put in his Christmas list. :shop:

Bought my first stocking stuffers today - the lady at the till thought we (me and the girls) we a little crazy, but I said by Christmas these items wouldn't be around so we had to buy them now. She still thought I was a little weird. C'est la vie! I love Christmas! :D

True Christmas lovers display the Santa spirit all year long, Mrs. C, and it just baffles those who don't think that way. Good for you & the girls!

Yesterday I caught a couples hours of ShopNBC's Christmas day. It was fun to hear Christmas music, see the decorations, and do a little decorating dreaming!

This weekend I'll be glued to QVC for the same Christmas experience! :scene:

MERRY CHRISTMAS IN JULY!!! :smilecc:

We've been watching QVC and looking for Christmas shows on tv to start the celebration Saturday!

Today is family for the 'big' meal, watching Christmas flicks, and celebrating with memories.

Hope your Christmas in July is fabulous! :snowwow:

The kids at church worked on some crafts for our Christmas bazaar. And I did catch some of the home shopping Christmas in July specials. So I guess I did do something to mark the occasion.

It's WAY too HOT to think about Christmas today. 8-) Dd has spent most of the afternoon playing in her water sprinklers.

This past Friday was so humid and warm - I just couldn't sleep - so when I finally got up at 5 am - I read for a couple of hours and then decided I had enough, we were going to a hotel with a pool, so we made all the arrangements and had a great time! The next day - Christmas in July day, we (hubby's whole family too) went to Canada's Wonderland to celebrate my youngest's birthday. It was a great mini vacation!
