2- pumpkin spice chia tea - ( i know it's more of a thanksgiving scent but my wife and i drink it all through the christmas season)
3 - the definitive scent of the smoke from a lionel train
4 - french toast (i know i eat it all the time but when ever i smell it i think of christmas morning. as i've mentioned on here many times i cook frenchtoast every christmas at my inlaws - 11 years running)
5 - a fireplace

1 - always have something sent to my wife as admirer
2 - send thank you cards to people at church for all the stuff they do that doesn't get noticed by most people
3- wife and i do breads for shut ins in the area (alot of people in church do)

1. Angel tree topper: an inexpensive one my Dad spent 2 hrs deciding upon at a local drug store 25 yrs ago.
2. Hand crafted ornaments my Mom made for her children -- equally dividing them for each of us.
3. Embroidered ornaments I stitched but my Mom stuffed for our family tree.
4. Ornaments bought by family;/friends
5. An old inexpensive wreath w/2 candle rings that Mom bought at KMart atleast 25 years ago.

Now that my folks have both passed in the last 2 years -- and this Christmas will be the first one without Mom -- I treasure these old decorations more than anything shiny, expensive or new.
