I woke up way too early this morning and just could not fall back asleep. About the time dd is up and going for the day I will desperately need a nap. :sleephat:

I ordered my Mom a Christmas gift this morning. A figurine of Santa kneeling by the baby Jesus. So sweet, and it will be perfect for her collection. :smilecc:

The little dip in the temperature has really put me in a Fall mood. I think I will go ahead and put my hay bale and pumpkin Fall display up. It won't be long until we can start decorating for Christmas. Yay!! :santa: :elf:

CK, I woke up last night and couldn't go back to sleep either. AND I ordered a Jim Shore figurine of Santa kneeling at baby Jesus' cradle for my sister!

We have the same Christmas shopping gene!

I haven't started Christmas shopping yet. I don't usually really start until after DH and DD's B-day in October. Anyone almost done their shopping yet? :shop:

I have finally picked up enough Swedish to shop online. Ordered 2 PC gams for hubby. I see a new era in my Christmas shopping! Must mail packages to US soon.

Merry Christmas in September!

Today I received the Winter version of Terry's catalog and the Christmas Lakeside Collection complete with sock moneys on the cover! My children think they're new-- so I had to laugh cuz great-grandma used to make them for us!

With all the changes in work/economy/life, it is so nice to see an old fashioned Christmas gift on the cover of a favorite catalog!

It's definitely beginning to look like Christmas!!! :smilecc:

Christmas items are starting to creep out on the store shelves. I saw some really cute Santa and snowman light spinners yesterday but couldn't buy any because dd was with me. Can't wait to go back and get one. :shop:

Just got back from a Baltic sea cruise with my beautiful husband. We had a Swedish smörgåsbord similar to the Christmas eve dinner and finally watched Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, my favorite Christmas in September movie. Now all we need is Christmas pudding tomorrow to make the weekend complete. Unfortunately, I forgot t buy some.

Oh well, there's always next weekend.

jw, in the recipe section Jodie has several Christmas pudding recipes. They are fabulous -- I've tried 2 of them!

Well I don't usually start Christmas shopping yet. But.... both my girls would really like a Nintendo DSI for Christmas. They have them on sale for about $50 off the regular price at Walmart. Keeping my fingers crossed they have some left. If not hopefully Zellers will have some and will sell them for the flyer price.
Have a great day everyone!!!!! :shop:

I was very lucky with my shopping today. Not only did Zellers match the price, they let me choose which colours I wanted. I picked blue for DD8(her fav. colour) and pink for DD almost 6(also her fav. colour). Walmart was only allowing the white ones at that price. The girls will be so thrilled at Christmas. :smilecc:
Now I am saving for the DSI XL for our son.

Another busy, busy weekend for me. We had a dinner fundraiser at church last night, then had leftovers for lunch, then brought more leftovers home for supper tonight. :dinner: Can't wait until we have our Christmas dinner fundraiser. :smilecc:

It's time to get really serious about the children's Christmas bazaar at church. We have started on our crafts but it seems like something comes up every week that keeps us from working on them. Hopefully things will slow down soon. :D
