It is overcast here today too.

I am using the dryer for the first time in ages, I need to make sure the stuff gets dry and my indoor clothes line is already full.

It is cold too - for the first time, I am wearing a long sleeved shirt and jacket with jeans - before today, we could get away with jeans and T shirts during the day. (We have needed a light jacket of a morning and evening for a few weeks now).

I noticed the leaves on the trees are starting to fall and the big old apricot tree has gone all yellow now.

Ollie will love chasing the leaves in the park when I take him down.

The summer weather mantra has begun here:

Hot, Hotter, Windy, and Sunburning!

Our weather is so strange. I just start to think that autumn is really starting (and I guess it has) but then it gets muggy and warmish again.

Our mornings and nights are cold but the days are almost balmy.

I can't wait for winter, I prefer cold to heat anyday.

We had clouds today! No rain of course-- but clouds that hid the sun 30% of the day - and that made it feel like Spring [not hot Summer]! :jump:

This weekend it's felt like the middle of June rather than the middle of April. Temps in the low to mid 20s C. It's been just awesome! :D

Today I was indoors -- in bed sleeping for half the day! It looks beautiful outside but DH says its very warm. Inside I'm content to think snowy Christmas thoughts! :flake:

Today was cool again when I took Ollie for a walk in the park - he loved romping through the fallen leaves.

But it did warm up, now at 10pm it is quite cold outside.

I'm happy to say the heavy cloud cover and cold wind have finally pushed out. Its actually really warm in the sun. Not likely to last in this part of the country, but I'm enjoying it while its here! 8-)

Mornings and nights are cold now - usually down to about 3 to 6C and days are getting up to 18C, although tomorrow they say we are looking at a top of 15C.

Most of the beautiful old trees in the park have changed all their leaves from green to browns, yellows, reds, purples - they are so beautiful. Ollie loves to run in the fallen leaves.

When winter gets here our temps will be around minus 7 to minus 10C overnight and up to 7 or 8C of a day.

And we're back to the usual here; cold, cloudy and windy. Spring is definitely struggling in Central England.

 Were back to Spring temps for 2 days and then back to near 100F [50C] temps! I am grateful for the Spring breezes!

Brrrrrr... I had to scrape ice off the windscreen of the car this morning before I took number two son to the bus stop.

It happens every year here - we get to ANZAC day and it is freezing from then on.

Well April is going out as cold and miserable as it started. Honestly, it feels more like March 1st than nearly May 1st out there. I'm hoping we'll get nicer weather and warmer temps when we're away in Dorset next week. We'll be right on the southwest coast and its almost always much nicer there!

It has been positively icy of a morning but the days pan out to be quite mild, then the cold creeps back in at night.

We are not expecting any more minus temps overnight this week though.

But all the leaves are really falling now and it is so magnificent.
