What's new with you for the holidays?

Postby sugarcookie » Sun Oct 17, 2010 8:34 pm

I can't believe how close the holiday season is. Have you begun your Christmas shopping yet? I've bought a few things so far. I'm ready for the Christmas movies, gatherings, and all of the festivities that go along with the holidays. I have about 3 weeks until I begin decorating...about 4 weeks until I put up my trees. I'm looking forward to sharing a bit of the holiday season with you all.
Christmas is the most magical time of the year.

We're downsizing this year for Christmas per my children, so my schedule is rearranged daily. Glad to know you're looking forward to Christmas with a heart full of joy. :D

We plan to downsize as well. I'm taking my kids to the stores and seeing what they are really interested in & going from there. I usually get each kid a certain amount of gifts. However, it seems that about 30% of it ends up being tossed to the side while they play with their favorites. In the end, it'll save a lot of money if I only buy what they really want, no extras. Thankfully, they're not greedy so they don't go overboard asking for gifts.

Played some Christmas CDs driving around town today and it definitely lifted my spirits!

Noel, that is exactly what I do sometimes. It definitely does lift your spirits. I need to make a new cd for this season...I lost my other one. Once I do, I'll soon be riding around town jamming to Christmas tunes too.
