Oh, I definitely mail out more than 28 Christmas cards each year. My family alone is bigger than that and DH's family is larger.

Swedes sent out very few Christmas cards. SMS has replaced the card in the mail. So, on Christmas eve and Christmas day you get tons of messages. We sent 3 cards to the US and I think got 2 cards last year, one from my cousin in Belgium and one from a friend in Holland.

We got our first christmas tree today! We worked hard last weekend to make space and got a 5´artifical tree today. We will set it up, but not decorate until December 23 as is Swedish tradition.

We will do our Christmas cards this weekend. I am very excited today because I sent in my registration to join the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club! I have wanted to do this for a while, but wanted to figure out how to display the ornaments once I started collecting them.

Right now I am wrapping my last few Christmas presents, then off to play in a basketball game this evening, followed by dinner with my father. It is looking like it is going to be a great night! Love and happiness to everyone!

I got a very unexpected Christmas gift today. My hubby took my vehicle and got it cleaned and detailed for me. Yay!!

I saw the neatest Christmas cookie. It's a melted snowman cookie. It uses a frosted cookie with a marshmallow for the head. So cute!

Today has been a nice day but tonight it's turning cold. The temps will be down to 12 degrees F by Monday morning. There's a chance of snow flurries this week and I'm still hoping for a White Christmas.

A wrapped a few more Christmas gifts today. I bought a special paper for all the Santa gifts. It's the Peanuts characters. Dd loves Charlie Brown and Snoopy!

25.5 outside the window at the moment. Beautiful day with the sun shining and snow on the ground. We even foun some wrapping paper with Merry Christmas in English when we were shopping, so that is what I will use for hubby's gifts. OH, AND we found a 1/2 of a turkey breast! Paid $15 for it, but it will be worth it to have turkey and pumpkin pie (found a can under a chair when we cleaned last weekend) on Christmas day. The can of pumkin must have rolled under the chair when we emptied a box from my parents during the summer. hee hee. Or maybe it was an early present from Santa.

We have a traditional swedish smörgåsbord on christmas eve with ham, meatballs, prince sausage (like little smokies), herring, lunch meat, cheese, bread, etc, etc, etc. On Christmas day, most Swedes eat leftovers (and the whole week after that). We add a turkey main course, if we can get it, on Christmas Day along with whatever else I miss. Last year I made my first carrot raisin salad from scratch. It was something my grandmother always had on the christmas table. Carrot-raisin salad, deviled eggs, turkey, ham, and mincemeat pie are my 'christmas musts'. Anything else is a bonus.

We had a wonderful church service this morning. Children's church was especially fun. We finished decorating for next week's children's Christmas party.
