I just watched A Christmas Carol with Jim Carrey. While I never met a Christmas movie I didn't like, I can't say I really loved this one. Oh well, at least it was a nice Christmas break for a dreary winter day. :smilecc:

CandyCane- I have not seen that version of A Christmas Carol. When I do go to that Christmas store, I will be looking for a set of angles for the manger that my father made for me. Keeping my fingers crossed...otherwise, Amazon.com here I come.

Right now I am off to the store to get stuff for dinner and to check out any of the Hallmark ornament inventory from last year. I hope they have some of the Christmas ornaments that I have had my eye on. :rudolph1:

Had a great dinner with my parents and brother to celebrate my Dad's birthday tonight. I had the best bread pudding ever at this restaurant! I am eating like it's still Christmas! This could be a problem. :P

I listened to Dean Martin Christmas today on the way home from work. As I caught a glimpse of the news before dinner tonight, they said that in my area in VT, it had snowed (measureably) 24 of 31 days in December and 18 of 19 days in January! How's that for keeping the Christmas spirit alive!! Unfortunately, that also means that this weekend the lows at night are going to be -25 degrees F.

Snow Day!! :snowday: We should have about 4 inches by the time it all quits this afteroon. It's a fluffy snow perfect for snowmen! :snowhappy2: I went out and fed my pets and chickens and hubby is out right now putting out hay and grain for the cows and horses. I always fell bad for the animals when it snows, but they seem perfectly happy. Running and jumping in the snow. I love the snow. It makes everything look like a beautiful Christmas card.

I've been looking through my craft books and magazines and getting ideas for Valentine's Day decorations. I'm going to take dd's pink Christmas tree to church and let the kids make decorations for it. We always have a Valentine's Day dinner fundraiser and I think it'll make the perfect decoration. :smilecc:

That sounds like a nice Valentine's Day tradition. A pink Christmas/Valentines Day tree! Sounds like it is straight out of the 60's and 70's. Love it!! I have a fake ficus tree in the house that I think I am going to decorate for each season/holiday. :-).

I have spent a very lazy Saturday with my family....playing in the snow, sledding, and building snowmen. :snowman1: :snowman1: No more snow expected so it'll all be gone in the next few days. Wishing we could just pack up all this snow and bring it out December 24th to guarantee a White Christmas.

My sister-in-law bought my Mom a Snuggie for Christmas. She thought it was the craziest thing ever but I'm sure it's come in handy the last few days. :D

I just got home from seeing "The Green Hornet" at the movie theater. Fun movie!! One scene in the movie had a small decorated Christmas tree in an office. :scene:
