It is going to be -25 degrees tonight!! I like it to be cold enough for Christmassy snow, but it doesn't have to go quite that far!! :flake: It got up to -2 degrees today during the day! Hopefully my car starts tomorrow morning!

Kiwi--We drew names for our secret sister. It's not just for birthdays or special days. We can give cards and gifts to them anytime we feel like it. The fun is just trying to keep it all a secret. I drew the name of one of my very best friends so it's extra hard to be sneaky. I need to go shopping this week so I'll have something for her next Sunday. She'll be my sister til the end of the year, so I'll have to come up with something really special for Christmas. :smilecc:

-25 degrees F is hard to imagine. Luckily we hardly ever drop below zero for actual temperature here. I love snow, but I really don't like winter. In my perfect world, it would always snow for Christmas and then as soon as Christmas is over it could be Spring!

CandyCane, I usually enjoy playing in the snow by skiing, snowshoeing, etc...but this year I hurt my knee so I am only able to watch the snow fall...it keeps Christmas alive!

Today the news said that, with wind chill, the mountain near where I live hit -65 F!! :snowwow:

So hard to believe it has already been a month since Christmas. :| Time is really flying by at reindeer speed. :snowdeer:

I wish Christmas would come again for me and bring me a new job. This one isn't working out so well. Time to move on.

The Christmas store in my area (open all year long) has full time positions available. I am very tempted... But I imagine it would be a pay cut. I would love it though...sharing my joy of Christmas all year long. Combined with my private tutoring. Could work. :D

It would be wonderful to be able to combine your love of Christmas into your job. But since it's such a major step, maybe you could start part-time to see how it would work out for you. :D

Beautiful January day here. 8-) I've been outside working in my yard. Just picked up the remnants of dd's snowman. :snowman1: I saw in the Bronner's catalog that they had a snowman making kit. It had all the pieces you need in a keepsake wooden box. Think we'll be asking Santa for one this Christmas. And also a bigger sled. :smilecc:

Saw on the news where the NorthEastern U.S. is getting buried in snow again. I don't want to see snow again until Christmas.

I remember the Christmas that my brother and I got a GT Snowracer from my parents. I loved that thing!! It had 3 skis...two under that seat, and one connected to the steering wheel. Those were the BEST sleds!!! It even had a break...but that didn't work very well when you were barreling down the hill at Mach 10. Oh I miss that sled. I don't think my 6'4" frame would fit on that anymore!!

In look forward to Friday while I sit here drinking my favorite Christmas beer...Winter's Bourbon Cask Ale (from Michelob...would you believe it??!)

It is too bad they only sell it during this season.

Our dollar store just marked all the Christmas stuff down to 25 cents. I couldn't believe how much great stuff they had left. :D

I hung an airfreshner in my car that I received for Christmas... Now the car smells like Christmas trees all the time! I am surprised at how many cars around where I live still have the Rudolph nose still on their car. :rudolph1:

I like their spirit!
