I listened to some Dean Martin Christmas music on my way to and from work. It helps to calm me when I think about my stressful job. :singing:

In the midst of the big winter storm here. We had rain all night, freezing rain all morning, and it just turned to sleet. Should turn to snow in a little while. Praying, praying, and praying that we don't lose power. All the trees are coated with ice. It's actually really pretty. The last ice storm we had we were without power for 13 days. I thought that was bad until I talked to someone yesterday that was without power for 28 days. We are luckier than most because we have a generator so we make it pretty good. Millions of people are being affected by this storm. Praying for the best. Think I'll make some Christmas crafts to help me get through. :smilecc:

We have gotten a lit of snow here over the last 20 hours. It looks like it will continue through tomorrow morning. I hope folks are taking it easy on the roads...Drive safe, or better yet, stay home and put on some Christmas music and get some online shopping done. Stay warm and happy everyone.

Time to unbury the car and head to work. Not another snow day today. :-(
We still have snow from Christmas under there! About 70" so far this year.

Kiwi---That's a lot of snow! Thanks for your good wishes. We have been so lucky here. The freezing rain produced a layer of ice, but it wasn't as bad as predicted and we haven't lost power. So happy about that! :D We got a light dusting of snow over the ice and it's been bitterly cold. 1 degree F last night. Brrrrrrr :cold: Snow is forecast for tomorrow and tomorrow night. I have worked on some crafts, including making some Christmas images with my Cricut machine. Perfect for Christmas cards and scrapbook pages. :smilecc:

So excited. Our insurance covered a medical procedure that we were told it wouldn't cover. It saved us several hundred dollars. It's like an early Christmas gift.

All this cold weather has really got me in the Christmas Spirit. Think I'll do a little online window shopping and see if I can find any great Christmas bargains. :smilecc:

CandyKane, I am glad your insurance kicked in. Stay warm! It sounds like perfect weather to sit by a crackling fire and do some Christmas crafts with your Cricut. I have seen commercials for those. They look like fun! :smilecc:

I purchased a new Printer-Scanner-copier today becausenmy regular printer broke. I can't wait to print and frame some more of the pictures I have taken. The last few years I have given pictures away as Christmas gifts to family. There is plenty of Christmas scenery with all of this snow! :scene:

Just a quick note to say I've missed ya'll. My computer crashed and I lost all my passwords. The password keeper didn't restart with the scan disc for some odd reason. I'm working through Sunday 7am.........hope to be back soon.

I miss Christmas chatting with all my CAY friends! Hugs!

I just found out I have distant relatives in Santa Claus, Indiana. Well, the cousin of an uncle by marriage, but we share 2nd and 3d cousins so that counts right??? Now that's something to celebrate! Sounds like a Christmas in July vacation in the making if we were in the US. :snowkiss: :snowday: :pole:

There is a website that lists all the towns in the US that have Christmas related names. It lists the town and post office zip code. I think it would be fun to send Christmas cards to the different places just to get their unique Christmas cancellations. :snowjump:

I think I used to collect the Santa Claus, IN postmarks but left my collection behind when I moved. We have a Tomteland here, will post the website when I find it.
