Just waiting to watch the SuperBowl. :D We didn't have church this morning because of the weather. Waiting on the next system to get here to bring us.....more snow. :| I really wish it was Spring. Then it would be one season closer to Christmas!

I watched the Super Bowl this evening. I was glad it was a competitive and entertaining game. Eating all that party food reminded me of all the food eaten at Christmas. I am still trying to work that off! :D

We had about 8 more inches of snow last night. I experienced "Thundersnow" for the first time ever during the storm! It was interesting, cool, and scary all at the same time. It was like a late Christmas present for the weathermen in the area since it's so rare here.

I just printed up some fliers and business cards for my tutoring business. An early (or late) Christmas present would be for the work to take off quickly. I have always gone by word of mouth before and done well. Here goes!!

No Super Bowl in sweden, so I made football soup and we watched Black Sunday from 1977 with Bruce Dern. I had forgotten about all the christmas scenes in that one! Great movie, stands the test of time and is about as long as the Super Bowl. Tried to get hubby to watch AirBud: Golden Reciever after that, but he was unimpressed by my tales of watching the Puppy Bowl on animal planet.

On a personal note, I interviewed for a job last week as my current one soon ends. Please pray for God's guidance and direction. Christmas is definitely more enjoyable when one is employed! :D :snowwow: :snowhouse:

Has anyone read Christmas Cruise or any of the other Christmas themed books by Mary Higgins Clark and her daughter? I can get them from a swedish source, but the reviews weren't too good. I didn't care for regular Higgins Clark works but read that her christmas books are 'lighter'. So, what are the official Christmas opinions? :holly1:

After another 3 inches of snow overnight and this morning we get a break tomorrow and then gear up for the biggest snowstorm yet. Yuck. :razzberry: I am so disgusted with this weather. I hope I don't see another snowflake until Christmas. :snowman1:

I have not read any of those Christmas books. I have read The Christmas Shoes series, Flight of the Reindeer, Letters from Father Christmas. All great books. I am always looking for other suggestions. :scene:

Just enjoying the sunshine before the storm. I'm gonna go to the grocery store and stock up again. Predicting quite a lot of snow for us and we've been blessed by not losing power so far. So praying that this storm passes quickly with no power outages and that this is the last of the winter weather for us. And I miss Christmas!! :scene:

I think I'll stop by the library to get some new books to read during the snowy days ahead. I'll definetly look for some Christmas books.

Over 10 inches of snow and it's still coming down. Looks like the perfect scene for a Christmas card outside. :flake: :snowwow:

I am very excited for this weekend!! It is my birthday on Sunday and I will be going to the Mohegan Sun Casino for the first time. Don't worry, I pretty much stick to the penny and nickel slots. Not a big gambler. I would like to try Blackjack though. Fun times with good friends...just like at Christmas! :balloons:

The newspaper said 'snow chaos' (literal swedish translation, gotta love Swedish sometimes). We are expecting 2 deciters (20 centimeters, about 10 inches) between now (no sign of it) and tomorrow morning. Going home will be fun, fun, fun! It always looks like Christmas in Sweden! :snowman1:

The really strange this is I thought I heard a whipporrill (sp) this morning. have to look it up and see if we even have them in Sweden.

We ended up with over 12 inches of light fluffy snow. The sun is finally shining today and we're waiting for it to warm up enough to go outside and play in it. I've been going through some of my Christmas pictures and working on scrapbook layouts. :smilecc:

Snow is on the ground again, all is right with the world. It's always Christmas in Sweden.

if finally happened. Stockholm has a snow day. The buses and trains are cancelled. ONly the subway is running. For the second time in his life, my 50 year old husband has a snow day. The last one was in his late teens or 20's. We had our first home food delivery last night. Great timing! We can spend the day listening to christmas carols and cooking together, just like Christmas!
