The place for Christmas and non-Christmas chatter.

I just took our tax papers to the accountant. I'm really worried about them this year. If we get one dollar back and don't have to pay in it will feel just like Christmas to me. :smilecc:

I just got back from shopping. I had to get a few groceries and alot of cleaning supplies. So thankful for double coupon day. If these prices keep rising like they are now I'm not sure anyone will be able to afford Christmas this year.

I just had a wonderful day with my family and friends at their house on Sugarbush. Ended the day with a relaxing time in the hot tub. I hadn't seen my brother and his wife since Christmas. I love it up here!!

Interview today at the International English School. I'm on pins and needles, just like waiting for Christmas!

Jennifer, I hope the interview went well.
I had an interesting day today...I told my boss that I wasn't renewing my contract for next year. I am officially done June 30th. It is exciting and scary... Like realizing it's Christmas Eve and I haven't started my shopping yet. :shop:

Hang in there, went through that last year with my husband. He now has a new exciting career as a vocational IT teacher, something he never thought he would/could do. The job interview yesterday was so so. The job has its good and bad points. Good experience but an hour and a half commute with working hours of 7:30-4. I would take it, but am not waiting by the phone. ;-)

Watched Holiday in Handcuffs last night. It was Christmas in February! :snowwow:

Thank you for the advice Jennifer. An hour and a half one-way would be quite the commute. I would love to really ramp up my tutoring business and focus on that. I feel like that will take a bit of time. I will definitely find something in the meantime too. We just need to keep a positive attitude... Christmas All Year helps. :P

Anyone fill their vehicle up lately?? $3.09 a gallon here this morning with the price going up, up, up! Arghhhh!! It's so disgusting and depressing. Good thing I have Christmas to cheer me up.

I was searching for an historical almanac for my husband when I stumbled across this! I ordered it from a Swedish source. Unfortunately there is no other description either on the swedish book site or on amazon. It will be like opening a Christmas present!

The colder temps this week have really put me back into a Christmas mood. I cleaned out my Christmas closet and bought some new containers to put the gifts in. :shop: I have quite a few things already. :smilecc:

Our gas prices hit $3.42 here!! It is unfortunate that when some people in the world are suffering some oil exec's are getting richer. Looks like some people need lessons in the spirit of caring from Christmas.

I had a great weekend...spent Friday in a hot tub while the snow fell. Maybe some Christmas I will surprise everyone with a hot tub.

After two years without a bath tub, I am so grateful for our small apartment-size sitting tub. It's like Christmas every time I use it! :snowwow:

Sometime, when I get a bigger place, I will get a hot tub. Until then, I will just have to listen to Christmas carols in the shower.

Thank you! I have an interview at another job as well. Options would be nice...like at a Yankee Gift Swap at Christmas time.
