I have two job interviews next week. Getting one would be like an early Christmas present!

I love talking about Christmas. I think I'll listen to some holiday music today & maybe look at a couple of holiday home videos.

We just purchased a new refrigerator. It'll be delivered on Friday. I feel a little excited about it, like I did as a kid opening a Christmas present.

On the Hallmark Channel's Facebook page, they posted an update that said they were working on the Christmas programming and they posted a picture of the two characters in the new Christmas special called "Jingle the Husky Pup".

Today on ebay I bought a kids Christmas singalong cd. It's never too early to start practicing Christmas songs. Especially when you have preschoolers. :D

Friday I stopped by the library and they had a Love Finds You book series display. While this is not my usual book style I picked up the Love Finds You in North Pole Alaska. I couldn't resist the Christmas theme. Just read a couple of chapters and it's really good. Alot of holiday imagery and a pretty decent story. Always on the look out for new ways to enjoy Christmas all through the year.

The snow has returned. Today I have to go on an expedition to the post office at the end of the world (a busride, train ride, and a very long walk away from us) to pick up a package from the US. It is just like Christmas!

If you use ebay....Groupon is offering a great deal today. Get a $15 ebay gift card for only $7. These will sell out quick. I just bought mine. Think I'll use it for a little early Christmas shopping. :shop:

Today's mail brought me a beauty bag filled with samples that I requested and got for free. One of the samples is a lip balm that by itself sells for $3. I'm so excited. Think I'll put it up and save it for a Christmas gift.

Came up with another great way to save money for Christmas. I saw a great tip on a budgeting forum and tweaked it to work for me. The poster had a debit card and their bank automatically deducted $1 and deposited it into savings account every time they used their debit card. Since my bank doesn't offer anything like this I decided to go the do it yourself route. Every time I go shopping I keep $1. If I make 5 purchases in one day, I keep $5..etc. I put the cash up and at the end of the week I deposit it into a special savings account. I started last Monday and I already have $22. It's a really painless way to save a little extra money. And it's really gonna brighten our Christmas. :smilecc: :scene:

Just finished reading 'Love Finds You in North Pole, Alaska' by Loree Lough. A delightful book that is truly Christmas from start to finish. :smilecc:

My interview yesterday was not the strangest I have ever had, but definitely up there. Praying todays goes better and I get an early Christmas present!

As a side note, my new keyboard is nordic and does not have an apostrophe. Please forgive any future grammatical errors. :snowwow:

After two days of rain and drizzle, it's nice to see the sun again. 8-) Although the cooler temps have really helped me stay in the Christmas Spirit. :scene:

Spoke too soon about the weather because it just started raining again. Perfect afternoon to watch a Christmas movie. :D

Just got the Christmas singalong cd I ordered. Nothing brightens my day quicker than the sounds of children singing Christmas carols. :sing: :carolbells: :angelsnow:

You know you are in trouble when the interviewer says "There are many departments at this institution who need English and Swedish speakers, we would encourage you to keep trying...." I suppose I do not need to go on.

On the bright side, we watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season 3 episode 1 yesterday, The Christmas Aliens. My husband said, we have to watch this agaiin for Christmas in July. I think I have a convert. LOL

Happy April Fool's Day! One of my fondest memories is my grandmother calling me as a child to remind me what day it was so I did not fall prey to any pranks. She is 88 now and knows I am married (again) and live in Sweden but bless her heart she cannot process my husband´s name: Anders. She just has not foundation for relating to it, so she says "how is your husband" all the time when I call. It is so cute.
