Was able to get fall decor out yesterday, while looking for the fall boxes opened some of my Christmas boxes and I am wanting Christmas here now more than ever. :smilecc:

Yes I've been feeling the same way. Its 115F here today so hard to feel like Autumn is near, but thinking of decorating anyway later this month! Come Christmas come! :peekleaves2:

Just got my Current & Lakeside catalogs today! Browsing the beautiful Autumn items and longing for Christmas! Wish I had funds to buy new items this year to decorate with, but like most Americans will rejoice in the old items! :gbhouse:

Well,,,my movie night didn't go over tonight. The wife and myself spent all day and I do mean all day looking for one particular book bag for my youngest daughter. We went to the mall and every Wal-Mart in a 20 mile radius and never found it, so she had to settle for her second pick. I don't even go through this much trouble looking for Christmas presents, but if it makes my daughter happy then that is what is important to me. :smilecc:

Spending a lazy Sunday planning my week and waiting for the Christmas season to get here. Of course the only problem I have with the waiting game is once it gets here it goes by way to fast. :smilecc:

Agreed. The Christmas season takes 11 months to arrive and is gone much too quickly! :sleephat:

:peekleaves2: We're watching the Last Farewell episode of Little House on the Prairie and waiting for the finale of Falling Skies tonight. It's very hot here - 111F - and I'm wishing Autumn would drop temperatures 20F! Maybe we'll end the night with Christmas at Plum Creek!

Is anyone a fan of the Twilight Zone? Well today I just watched a Christmas episode called "The Night of the Meek". It's a really heartwarming episode that almost brought tears to me. It's on YouTube and I highly recommend giving it a watch.

I will have to admit I am not a big Twilight Zone fan, but I have had one of those almost cried moments with a TV show. The Christmas episode of the Andy Griffith show about the store owner who has no one for Christmas and ends up spending it with a man and his family that he had put in jail. Very hear-warming if I do say so myself. :smilecc:

Prayers are requested for my husband and myself. He has been negotiating with a recruiter for HP in Ireland and has passed two interviews. It looks like he got the job and should be receiving a contract in a couple of days for us to look over. We have some questions regarding swedish taxes, etc, plus I would have to stay here until my swedish citizenship comes through (3-15 months). Prayers for guidance and direction as well as a smooth transition for my husband would be appreciated. It would also be a nice Christmas surprise if I got the job I interviewed for (6 months temp) so I would have both money and something to do while he is testing his new position. In the end, it could be a good thing, but it is hard to see ahead right now and now the best thing. We are 46 and 50 years of age so globe trekking is not exactly in our minds. If we are going to make a major change (afterall, I moved HERE), now is the time to do so.Thank you to all my Christmas friends for your prayers and support! :snowkiss: :angelpray: :sing:

Just a quick check in today.....as I need some Christmas joy. At work today a supervisor was demoted, several people were fired [on the spot!], and new monitoring of calls/skills list were set in place. More changes than I've seen in 5 years! And a test everyone must score 100 on Friday. I can tell you my BP spiked!

Time to hum some Christmas carols............

Jwlundgren--Sending prayers your way!

Noel--Sounds like you are in desperate need of some Christmas cheer. I'm sorry that you had such a bad day at work. In this economy, any changes to the workplace can be terrifying. Hope things get settled down and you can relax a bit. :scene:

We got well over an inch of rain last night. The first good rain we have had in a long, long time. It has really cooled things off. And of course the cooler temps make me long for Fall......and Christmas. :peekleaves2:
