I love Christmas Vacation. No matter how many years pass, that movie nevers feels dated to me. :smilecc:

I watched some of the QVC Christmas specials today but as usual I didn't buy anything. But it was still fun to watch. :scene:

It was Christmas fun, but I didn't buy anything either. If I bring more light strings into this house my DH may faint! Just loved the bubbling color-changing snwoman!

sounds fabulous! I love Christmas Vacation and Deck the Halls! I was fortunate enough to find the latter one before I left the US.

Speaking of movies, what are some of your favorite Christmas romantic comedies? (recent years) Two of mine are A(?) Boyfriend for Christmas and Holiday in Handcuffs.

Supposed to cool down to the 60´s next week after a few days of very humid mornings. I lost a bet with my husband that it would snow on or by August 22. Bring on that Christmas weather! :snowwow:

I don't recall when I have watched a Christmas romantic comedy. Sad but true. It's usually kid/family movies and occasionally we rent a comedy. My DH is wonderful but watching a romance with him is not fun. He strongly dislikes most of them. I guess he has to have at least one fault.

Anders will watch them, but I try not to overdo it. He liked the one out recently with the dog, don´t recall the title. It was shown on swedish tv this year. With Nicholas Brendon.

A Golden Christmas, there we go!

Another Christmas must see for our family every year is the Toronto Santa Claus Parade. I just found out the the date for the parade is Sunday November 20th. I am hoping this year will be the year we can go to T.O. and watch it live. Fingers crossed!

Just finished my baking schedule for Christmas. The list is much smaller than past years due to my work schedule, but we have to share cutout cookies!

While shopping yesterday, I stopped by a new thrift store. They have different rooms divided for all the different things, like kids rooms, music room, etc. I was thrilled to find a Christmas room. Will be going back alot to check out the new things they'll be adding.

Anybody here use thredup.com? I just recently discovered it and I love it. Basically you "swap" boxes of gently used but still good condition kids clothes. They send you medium flat rate boxes and you stuff them full of all the things your kids have outgrown. Each box costs $5 plus $10.95 s&h. It doesn't cost anything to send the boxes, the person who buys pays the postage. But after you list your first 2 boxes and someone picks and reviews them you get a $25 credit. You also get different credit amounts for the different sizes offered. They also have "Mommy boxes" filled with everything from clothing to cookbooks to whatever. I just bought a box that includes a Christmas tapestry and I saw one box listed that contained Christmas cards, boxes, and bags. :treewiggle:

I was looking through some of my craft books looking for ideas for dd's Halloween costume when I came across a super cute costume. You need an empty cardboard box a little larger than your child. Turn it upside down and cut a hole big enough to put their head through and cut arm holes on each side. Wrap it with Christmas paper and decorate with ribbon and bows. And you have a Christmas gift. You can even put bows on their heads. I'm sure the kid would hate it because it would be hard to walk around in but it would be so cute. Might even be fun to make one just to take the child's picture in. :smilecc:

Just finished watching The Grinch with Jim Carrey. It's one of our Christmas movie favorites.
