8 weeks today is the Toronto Santa Claus Parade! I am so very happy that we will be going to see it live. Although I went to see it years ago with friends(before children). My children and DH have only ever watched it on TV. I am so excited to be taking them. :smilecc: Oh, How I love Christmas!!! :smilecc:

MistletoeMisfit---How wonderful that you will be getting to see the Santa Claus parade with your family. I am so excited for you all. Our town has a teeny-tiny little Christmas parade and I love enjoy every minute of it. :rockettes:

We took our annual Fall trip to the pumpkin patch with our church group yesterday. :pumpkin: It was so much fun watching the kids play and run through the corn maze. They had a small petting zoo and the kids got to ride the little mini horses. It really was a great day. :cheer: Dd had to help her Daddy carve a pumpkin as soon as we got home. I told her that as soon as I pick her up from preschool today she can help me decorate outside. We have hay bales, pumpkins, and mums. And she has some cute Disney decorations that she's gonna put out. Time is flying by at reindeer speed now. :snowdeer: Halloween and Christmas will be here before we know it.

Our little village is too small for a parade(pop.approx.500-600), although the land area is large, we are in farm country here. :D
We attend a wonderful night time parade in the nearest town each year. It is small and only about 20 minutes long. But it is wonderful and we look forward to it each year. :smilecc:
I have for years wanted our family to attend the Toronto parade. And this year it is going to happen. :smilecc: That's the only Christmas present I need! :scene:

CandyKane corn mazes are so much fun!! Our kids have a P.A. day here Friday. If it doesn't rain, I will be taking my three children and two of my day care kiddies to a corn maze 20 minutes from here. Fingers crossed for good weather!

Only 5 more weeks then I can begin to decorate for Christmas! :singing:

Hubby´s interview for the Norrland job is in 20 minutes. He asked if I was going to pressure him to make my dreams come true (the B/B). I said no, he has already done that, the best Christmas present ever is a spouse who loves you for who you truly are. :snowkiss:

Just got the next Avon book and it has Christmas decorations on the front. Woohoo! I also got a local discount store mailing today and it has information on their Holiday lay-a-way plan. Seeing more and more Christmas everyday. :smilecc:

We finished all the Fall decorating outside. Dd and I even made a scarecrow out of hubbies old coveralls and stuffed it with hay. We put a jack-o-lantern on top for his head. :pumpkin: It turned out really cute. Now it's time to start planning on how I'm going to decorate outside for Christmas. :treewiggle:

YES!!! get out the blue prints, check the voltage regulations for the electricity on the outside outlets....figure out which neighbor's house it would be easiest to run an extension cord from B-)

just kidding of course....it's fun just planning it though isn't it?

Hello everyone,

I have been super busy with work, the older kids marching band, and everything else that you could possibly fit into a schedule to get on here, off of work due to an injury so I thought to myself what better place to be than on here reading about everyone's Christmas excitement. We have started our fall decorating and yes,,,,for those who have been on here and know about me I do have my tree up, will try to get pics on here later today. The wife and myself have already started some of the shopping and are going to really amp it up this coming month before the stores get really packed, once that happens it is off to internet where we will actually do a lot of our shopping this year, we can't be in the crowded stores due to the youngest and his meltdowns. Well, going to get off of here for now and enjoy my Christmas music while I recline back in my chair with my leg imobilized and in some quite discomfort. Hope everyone has a good day and talk again soon. :smilecc:

Pretjah--I wished I had a neighbor close enough to run a power cord to. That would really help on the Christmas light bill.

Ksrjreed--Hope your leg feels better soon. Every year I do more and more of my Christmas shopping online. It is just so easy. And when I do go to the stores to shop I'm not under pressure to buy so I really have time to look and enjoy the beautiful decorations. :shop: :scene: And Congrats on getting your tree up already. I'm sure it's beautiful. :treegifts:

I dropped dd off at school this morning and then I had to stop by the grocery store. They have put a lot more Christmas items out. I picked up some foam shapes (Christmas tree, snowman, snowflakes) and am going to let my Sunday School kids decorate them and make ornaments. They also have some cute foam stockings with all the pieces ready to decorate them. I thought I'd buy one for each of my kids and let them decorate them and I'll put their names on in glitter and hang them by our tree at church. :peek:

Our little housedog turns 13 this Fall. I love her so much as she was my baby for many years before we had our little girl. She's having trouble getting around due to arthritis and she is so grumpy and won't play with dd at all anymore. So hubby and I have decided to get a new puppy. It's a very early Christmas gift for all of us. I have it narrowed down and think we're going with a sweet little male chihuahua. :smilecc: I'm looking forward to dressing him in a tiny little Christmas sweater.
