Has anyone else had an impulse and you just could not fight it, well I am at that point right now and by the end of the day my impulse will have one and my entire living room will be decked out with our Christmas decor. I know it is early but with the weather turning like it is and all the talk of Christmas in the stores now I just have to do it. :smilecc:

We will be out of town this weekend at an SCA event. I have been cleaning, doing laundry, ironing, and shopping. It almost feels like Christmas!

I stopped by Hallmark today. I really enjoyed looking at all the Christmas decorations and ornaments but I didn't buy a thing. :holly1:

I miss Hallmark! I used to love setting up the christmas ornaments and selling them. Of course, I bought quite a few myself. I brought some to sweden, but have not had a chance to use them.

I love Hallmark too. The reason I didn't buy anything is I promised myself I wouldn't. I bought several boxes of cards at the after Christmas sales. I have bought a bunch of new ornaments. And I have a huge box of new Christmas wrap that I was given at a yard sale. I am determined to use this stuff up before I buy anymore.

OK. I was just sitting here thinking. My family and I watch "It's A Wonderful Life" every year in December as part of our "must watch" Christmas movies. We absolutely love the movie. But today it just hit me. It's not a Christmas movie. It's not about Christmas, Santa, Rudolph, or the birth of Jesus.

So why do I consider it a Christmas movie?

Does anyone else consider it a Christmas movie?

it is considered a christmas classic, now I will have to watch it to see if it has any "christmas" actually in it.

The only real reference is when George wants to jump off the bridge on Christmas Eve.
And maybe when he realizes his life is a wonderful gift from God.

I don't know. But I'll watch it every year anyway. :D

Had a great morning with a large group of men at our prayer breakfast this morning. Now I'm at home with the Christmas music on, laundry started, and getting ready to clean the bathrooms (whoo hooo).

Praise God for this wonderful day! :snowwow:

the climax of a wonderful life happens on Christmas eve.

traditionally it's considered a Holiday movie christmas and new years because of the gift and new beginnings theme of the movie.

I agree Pretjah. I think I was trying to out-think myself yesterday. It is a Christmas Classic I will watch every year.

I'm feeling a little depressed today. I need a good dose of Christmas to cheer me up. :smilecc:

I stopped by the grocery store. They are running a good sale. I stocked up on lots of items I need for my Thanksgiving and Christmas baking. :candle2:

I also found dd a couple of Christmas gifts. Some sparkly nail polish with a pedicure set, and some really neat wooden puzzles. :treegifts:

We went to Hollydays yesterday which is a Christmas bazaar yesterday. We had fun, though we didn't buy anything. We did, however, taste all of the free samples they had to offer! :dinner:

Also, I downloaded a Christmas Radio App on my phone yesterday. :singing:

Here are just a couple pics I took on my phone at Hollydays:
