Our stores are now full bloom Autumn decorations with Christmas items closing in the aisles!

The Dollar Store is a whole month early this year! Michael's has only the expensive Autumn garlands left and then 4 new aisles of Christmas! :smilecc:

I went shopping yesterday for B-Day gifts for DH and our youngest. Zellers had 5 aisles of Christmas decorations out. I picked up a wreath holder for our front door. Signs of Christmas are slowly popping up around here. :smilecc:

If you'll be using peanut butter for your Christmas cookie baking or candy making, you might want to stock up right now.

If you'd like to give a little extra to charity this Christmas season, remember to use a charity search engine. I use goodsearch.com. It donates about a penny for every search that you make. I've been alternating my support between a local animal shelter and food pantry. :smilecc:

I dropped dd off at school and then stopped by the dollar store. I picked up some Disney sipper cups for our Operation Christmas Child boxes. :shop:

Better get busy with this thread if we want to make our goal of 1700 posts by Christmas. We will need to make about 11 posts a day.

My daughter and I bought my wife a Christmas present :merrygift: the other night. I wrapped it up and set it in the living room right beside the TV. My wife now claims I'm taunting her. Said it was not fair that she couldn't open in yet.
I just laughed.

I was looking at my work schedule today. I only have to work 3 more Fridays this year. And this Friday is one of them. One in November and one in December. Only 32 work days left this year then Christmas break!

Yes, that is evil. I usually cannot hold out and give my husband all his christmas presents before the big day and then have to come up with something else. :shop: :scene: :peekleaves2:

Tomtemor are you talking about the Christmas crackers where you pull each end, they pop and then you get a silly paper hat, a little prize and a riddle? They are so much fun! We get them every year for Christmas dinner. It wouldn't be Christmas dinner in our house without the silly little paper hats. lol :smilecc:

Yes, they said they will have them, but not quite yet. They did not have any pumpkin but will get some next friday. We will probably go once a month until Christmas. I got some stove top stuffing, also an english brand you bake in the stove to try, some more cranberry sauce, cookies and cream pudding (no vanilla or white chocolate), Crisco, bisquick, pancake mix, etc. Spent less than a week´s worth of grocery money this time. They even had a Christmas tree up decorated with colored cookie cutters and real english pudding. Might try a sample size next time. We usually have a Swedish christmas eve meal and I add turkey to the leftovers for Christmas dinner. Makes it MUCH easier. Hubby makes the traditional swedish ham, but we had "american" ham in the north and he liked it so maybe I can convert him. I am not fond of the swedish mustard plaster. :dinner:

WOW! It's cold here in Georgia. Not used to this kind of weather till December.
Makes me feel like we forgot to put up the Christmas decorations.
