I'm a little behind on my Christmas decorating. We have been so busy that I still haven't managed to get my tree up although I have several decorations out. Just finished up the last of my cards so they are all ready to mail or hand out. Yay! :carolbells:

More rain is coming this afternoon but we're going Christmas shopping in spite of it. So thankful that I didn't go out on Black Friday. With all the crazy news stories on TV, it's just not worth it to me. :hohat:

We watched the Razorbacks play LSU yesterday. REALLY would have enjoyed an early Christmas present Hogs Win, but oh well. :scene:

Here's a link showcasing some of the best Christmas light displays in the US. Tomtemor-I'm sure you're familiar with the RiverWalk.

The Christmas decorations are up and the Christmas music is playing. Love it! :singing:

We went to see Arthur Christmas on Thanksgiving and it was really cute. We liked it. :D

It's COLD here in Northern Arkansas. :cold: We had snow in our forecast for the first time last night and a friend told me it did flurry between 4 and 5 this morning. :flake: Although I definetly didn't see it because I was still snuggled up in my nice warm bed. Definetly feels like Christmas weather and it's done alot to lift my Spirits.

We got alot done at church today. We worked out all the details of our Christmas program and party and I got the kids tree put up in the fellowship hall. We'll decorate it next Sunday. Yay!

So hard to believe that in only 4 weeks it will be Christmas day. It takes it forever to get to the holiday season then it flies by at reindeer speed. :snowdeer:

Dd heads back to preschool tomorrow after her long Thanksgiving break. They took down all the Thanksgiving decorations and sent them home with them last week. So this week they will start making Christmas and Winter decorations. :treeclap:

I got an email a few days ago. The email was from a company that I purchased a Santa letter from a couple of years ago. The package I bought was really nice. It included a letter, a picture, plus some other goodies. Anyways the email I got said 'YOU ARE RUINING YOUR CHILD'S CHRISTMAS........if you don't buy a Santa letter from us. I was deeply offended and pretty steamed about it. Well today they sent a new e-mail apologizing saying it was sent by a business partner without their knowledge and they've fired them for it, blah, blah, blah. Anyways I don't believe any of it. I think it was all just to draw attention and drum up business. And while I was very happy with their services I won't be using them again. Just wondering what would you do? :holly1:

CandyKane, I actually got both of those emails too. I was put off by them as well. I think there are a few other companies out there that will do the same service that I don't hint it's a bad idea to shop around.

We had a marvelous delayed "thanksgiving" dinner on Saturday. I made Jennifer´s tex mex turkey gnocchi (turkey tetrazzini with gnocchi pasta and tex mex cheese) on Sunday and hubby has enough leftovers for 4 days. LOL

Did not get as much done Sunday as I had hoped. We brought up one christmas box from the basement, but only started perusing it, not putting anything up yet. Having a mischevious kitten this year may alter the Christmas plan. However, I dreamed that at my bed and breakfast (the one that only exists in my head so far) ) I had three pennant baners, one that said "God Jul" (swedish), one that said Merry Christmast, and one that said "happy Texas Christmas ya´ll". hm.... guess now we have to make three banners.

Hubby has an interview today at the British Primary School so I gave him his first christmas present, a pair of union jack socks I had been saving. God Save the queen!

Well, despite this virus, I am finished with my Christmas decorating inside the house! Saturday, with rest periods, I decorated all but the study and extra bedroom. Today I decorated the tree and finished up some last minute details [batteries in led snowmen]. I vacuumed the floor ......... and went to bed! :D

It's Christmas again! :D :scene:

Noel,
Absolutely beautiful. Last year I received a nativity set from a friend in the US, I am thinking with a kitten who is rapidly turning into a big cat that likes to walk on window ledges, that we might skip a year putting it out. It is heavy resin, but I would still hate to take the chance of it breaking.

Christmas is just around the corner!

Yes, perfectly understandable to me! We had a cherished set made for my grandmother, but each year at least one more piece was broken. It was porcelin, and no matter where we placed it or how we afixed it, someone bumped up against. We keep it safe now for the generations to come.
