I used my Amazon gift cards to buy a few things this morning. I got free shipping and it'll all come the week after Christmas. I'm kinda excited because I'll have some things being delivered to look forward to. Might help keep the January blues away. :snowhappy2:

By now in New York City.
There's snow on the ground.
And out in California.
The sunshines' falling down.
And maybe down in Memphis, Graceland's all in lights.
And in Atlanta, Georgia, there's peace on earth tonight.

Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines.
Merry Christmas from Dixie to everyone tonight.

Its windy in Chicago.
The kids are out of school.
There's magic in Motown.
The city's on the move.
In Jackson, Mississippi to Charlotte, Caroline.
And all across the Nation, its a peaceful Christmas time.

Christmas in Dixie, its snowing in the pines.
Merry Christmas from Dixie, to everyone tonight.
And from Fort Payne, Alabama..Merry Christmas tonight.

:holly1: Sitting here with the wife and oldest child watching the Michael Buble Christmas special. I have to admit over the past couple of years I have become a big fan of his. I can sit and listen to his music all day, every day. :smilecc:

I saw the Michael Buble concert last week on TV. I really liked it. His voice, along with Frank Sinatra's remind me of the Christmas season all year long! :santadance:

going on the Christmas lunch cruise today! Woohoo. Then a bit of grocery shopping. I am trying to decide whether to make my famiy's traditional carrot raisin salad and deviled eggs or skip the extra trouble and just go with swedish storebought beet salad and boiled eggs. When I was growing up we had cold cuts, sandwiches, tuna salad, egg salad, pimento and cheese salad, chips, dips, carrot salad and deviled eggs for christmas eve. It bore a very distant similarity to the swedish smörgåsbord, except we had the big ham on christmas day.

With my grandmother ill in the US and this probably being her last Christmas, I am feeling the urge to do things the way she did.

All of my children are out of school today, now starts the fun of Chirsmtas break, all the kids home and getting really excited for Christmas to get here. My youngest two can't stand it anymore, they keep asking if it time to open presents.

I just cashed in some of my Disney Movie Reward points for a collectible Cinderella keepsake box. It's either dd's late Christmas gift or really early birthday present. :angelmerry:

had a FANTASTIC christmas lunch cruise and a bit of grocery shopping. Will finish up tomorrow and start cooking. Swedes have the big celebration on Christmas eve. Christmas day is usually a pajama day with movies and leftovers but I miss "Christmas dinner" so we will have more of the christmas ham with turkey breast filets. brussel sprouts, and maybe sweet potatoes if I can find them tomorrow. And mince meat pie for dessert.
