The living room, and the rest of the house for that matter, looks so bare with no Christmas decorations. It all looks great in my memory. :gbhouse:

That candy cane pie sounds delicious! I never had thought that my Christmas cooking/baking could be stretched throughout :dinner: the year.

Cool whip mixed with crushed candy canes and put into either a chocolate cookie pie crust or graham cookie pie crust. Freeze until ready to serve. There is a chocolate pudding pie version, where you sprinkle crushed candycanes on top. I am now craving candy cane pie. If only I had cool whip!

That sounds fabulous. Have to remember that for Christmas in July! :smilecc:

I started watching On Strike for Christmas on the mp4 on the bus this morning. It looks really cute! If they keep making such good Christmas movies it will be impossible to watch them all even if you watch one each day for the whole year! :scene:

Oh, but first there is Epiphany, the St. Knut´s Day on January 13 (in Sweden) then Valentine´s Day, then St Patrick´s Day, then Easter, then Memorial Day if you are in the US, then Flag Day (also US), then Independence Day, then Christmas in July and you are over half way there!

Yeah I know there are some good holidays in between (mostly Easter and St. Patrick's Day), but I just like that season where Summer is ending and the air is cooler and Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are right around the corner. But time flies, so I'm sure it'll be here again before I know it :D

We are having the most amazing weather for January. Sunshine and 50's and 60's everyday. For the last day of dd's Christmas break we even took her to the zoo. We never get to do anything outside in January. 8-)

I got 3 packages in the mail. Things I ordered from the after Christmas sales. I also had coupon codes to get a free Valentine and a free Easter card. I got cute ones for my dd. I love free! :smilecc:

Hanging out at the hotel in Orlando, FL. It was nice to see Christmas decorations still out at the airport and Disney.

I need to take a nap. Getting up at 3 AM to catch a flight is tough. It's like waking up early on Christmas because you are excited for the gifts...only no gifts. :sleephat:
