Walt Disney World brings up a lot of the same wonderful feelings that Christmas stirs in me. I love it here. Unfortunately, back home tomorrow evening.

While on vacation, I received an email that said that a few things I had ordered for my Christmas village were in!

Fun fact: 150 truckloads of holiday decorations adorn the Walt Disney World Resort and 300,000 yards of ribbon and bows drape over 1,500 Christmas trees during the yuletide season.

11 miles of garland, 3,000 wreaths and 1,500 Christmas trees are spread around during the holiday season. The tallest is a 70-foot tree in Disney's Contemporary Resort. In addition, trees, which range in height from 45 to 70 feet, are placed in prominent positions in the theme parks.

Just got finished watching a cute off beat chrismtas movie called The Munster´s Scary Little Christmas based on the 60´s tv series. It was not too bad. Corny, but cute. We also decided that Holiday Inn will be the official "end of the season" movie since it begins and ends with Christmas and has all the other holidays in between. We will try to watch it next Sunday when the crazy 6 day work week is over. Is it Sunday (next) yet?

Just received an email offer from Amazon for some new "holiday" set dvds. Every title had Christmas in it, but they omitted the word. Kinda offended me.......it is Christmas movies my family watches!

Grrrrr! I hate when people leave out the word Christmas to avoid offending anyone. It offends me when you don't respect it for what it is...CHRISTMAS!!!!! :holly1:

I took down the last of the Christmas decorations at church and packed everything away until next year. The fellowship hall looks so empty. I think I'll put up dd's pink Christmas tree and let the kids make Valentines decorations for it. :treegifts:

AMEN TO THAT!

When someone says "Happy Holidays" to me, I ask "What holiday?"
Then when they say Christmas, I ask "What is being celebrated at Christmas?"
Then I usually have to correct them and try to tell them about my Savior.
JESUS!

Finally home from Florida. Sad really. The flights defInitely were interesting. First off our first flight was late by about an hour. Then, when we tried to land in NJ, we were about 20 feet from the landing on the runway when the pilot gunned it and we went back up because a plane hadn't cleared the runway. We landed after our loop around but were late for our connecting flight back home. After running through the airport, The doors had been closed and they had finished boarding our plane. We pleaded and fortunately they let us on.

Sheesh... I bet Santa has an easier time on Christmas Eve night!!

My cat was VERY excited to see me back home again. I was glad to see a decorated Christmas tree in the airport lobby when we got back. That was a nice greeting back home.

had a similar situation when I emigrated to Sweden. Plane almost landed, then turned up and rerouted to Philadelphia. By the time we made it back to NJ, my plane to sweden had left on a bogus airline and I had to spend two day in Newark and pay an extra 2400$ ticket. Not happy memories. And people wonder why I do not want to come "home" for Christmas???
