former husband always had the vision of having a train track hang from the ceiling and running a train on it at Christmas. Brings up a curious question, I wonder when having a Christmas train became part of "tradition"?

Got invited to an interview with the Ethnology, Religious History, and Gender Department at the univ on January 23! Hoping for a post Christmas miracle! :scene:

Jennifer wishing you a lovely post-Christmas miracle too!

An uncle of mine had a shelf that ran across the entire lower portion of his house. The cats used in Feb-Oct, but Nov-Jan he ran his Christmas train! :gbhouse:

I used to have a Christmas train that I ran around my tree. It was lovely and so much fun to watch. I might have to invest in a new one. :smilecc:

We have had snow flurries off and on all morning. :snowwow: And add the wind for bitterly cold temps. It sure looks and feels like Christmas here. :snowhappy2:

Just opened my christmas box from family in the US. My mother included a "grocery store" magazine with some nice pics, stories, and recipes! Christmas is still in the air!

I am going to be meeting friends for dinner tonight. He is my college roommate who now lives in PA. It will be good to see him and his family again. He must have a blast at Christmas with his young son and daughter. :shop:

It was a long, busy day! It was a freezing rain/snow day, so the kiddies were home with me. The number of kids here today was 8. I had hoped for this weather before Christmas. We get it now their first week back to school.
I was happy for the children though, because finally mid-afternoon it turned to snow and they were able to play in it for a awhile. If the weather man is right we may have another snow/rain day tomorrow.

I still have my Christmas tree up on my desk at work. People keep coming by reminding me that Christmas is over. I just smile at them and say "No it isn't. Christmas is only 348 day away!" I might just leave it up all year.
