Today is hubby´s last day at a once a week job, IT Helpdesk. He has not liked it, but it has been good extra income. Praying for permanent jobs for both of us and everyone in need. I thank God for my Christmas friends! :carolbells: :bdline: :feedbird:

Noel,
I am very jealous, but happy for you!!! I wish my decorations were still up. I am still reading a holiday book though- The Christmas Miracle. I have enough Christmas reading material to last all year! :singing:

Noel, since you are so fond of them, perhaps you could get paid to decorate other people's homes for Christmas. Wouldn't that be a GREAT job!!!??? :gbhouse:

I was feeling depressed on the way home yesterday. Not only is my job not continuing, but to add insult to injury I am to train someone else on what I do so that his job can continue. I listened to some beautiful Christmas tunes such as When a Child is Born and Ave Maria on the mp4 to lift my soul, then when I was walking up the hill I saw that someone in a nearby building still has their Swedish Christmas star up. The apartment was up high, 7 or 8 floors so it really shown especially without others around it and I was reminded that there is a God who is in control and who sent his Son at Christmas. Praying his blessings on all my unemployed and struggling friends in the US, Canada and Europe.

Jennifer, your employer has some nerve asking you to train that other person in your job. Unfortunately, it is not all that uncommon. The story of the Swedish Christmas Star was touching. I hope it gave you some comfort in this hard time.

I'm not sure of my talent as a decorator, but would love doing Christmas homes all year long! What a great idea! THANKS :D

I was placed in that position: once I knew I was being replaced; the 2nd time I did not. Painful..........I do understand Jennifer.........but your trust in God will sustain you. He has something better for you -- I truly believe that. PRAYING!

Uh oh. If I already miss Christmas so much right now, I can't imagine what the rest of the year is going to be like. I swear, it's like my post-Christmas depression gets worse every year
