Dd and I have been taking nature walks and picking flowers. We are drying them by pressing them in a book. We are going to make cards from them. I am also drying some yarrow leaves. These are perfect for miniature evergreen trees. We are gonna use them to decorate some Christmas cards. :treewiggle:

This is time change weekend in Europe and Waffle day in Sweden. For our liturgical brothers and sisters it is also the Annunciation which is the celebration of the Angel´s message to Mary that she would bear the Christ child. It is one of the milestones on the way to Christmas! We had a breakfast feast of red beet waffles with goat cheese, meatballs, potatoe salad and some leftover ham sandwich mix I made during the week. It was like a little Christmas buffet! Making chocolate waffles for dinner! Here are some recipes, you can translate them using http://www.google.com/translate.

Happy Annunciation Day! Merry Christmas in March! :dinner:

Noel, very cool computer art as usual! Your graphics are like little Christmas gifts we get all year long!

Not much Easter decorating here. I will not be online in April. I am going back into Swedish bootcamp with Sgt Anders (hubby) and no English allowed except for communicating with family on Saturdays. It is our last ditch effort to improve my "interview" Swedish.....

So, in anticipation, here is your Swedish lesson for the week. Swedes say Glad Påsk! with Påsk being the same word for Easter and Passover (as in Paschal lamb) so the greeting works well for both holidays! Swedes generally eat chicken for easter but lamb is becoming more popular. Hubby wants lamb for his birthday, April 12, so we will probably have chicken on Easter Sunday.

Jennifer, does that include reading English?
You can still log on and check things out here right?

In fact, you can practice your Swedish here. Post all your Christmas stuff in Swedish and I'll (meaning Google) will translate it for everyone.

(I was just thinking.
Here we are, near the end of March.
Three months past Christmas and only four more months till Hobby Lobby starts putting out their Christmas decorations!
The end of July has become my "Start of the Christmas season".
Christmas juices may flow all year. But they start to boil when Christmas gets closer.) :D

Christmas Crazy is indeed crazy. LOL Thank you so much for your support. Google Translate is about 80% accurate so definitely good enough for our purposes. I received two surprises. One was a call for an interview at a health science center complex for a job I did not apply for. I THINK they got my name from another job I did not get. I will go for the interview on Friday. And the second surprise is that hubby and I will be in a commercial together! He is the "aspiring" actor and I just went along on the casting call because we had other business to attend to in the city. I think we play lottery winners for one of the lottery companies. It is a very nice chunk of change. It almost feels like Christmas!

Christmas meets Easter. I always wanted to put up a full sized Easter tree. but I envisioned a pink or lavender tree as the background. I also wanted a halloween tree that was black with all sorts of halloween ornaments on it. Maybe some day.
