Olympics - London 2012

Postby Mrs.Claus » Mon Aug 13, 2012 11:55 am

I really enjoyed the summer Olympics this year. I love the gymnastics, but didn't see a whole lot of them. I like synchronized swimming and didn't see any of that. Although I did see a lot of swimming.

One of my favourite parts was when everyone was cheering the rower from Niger. He had only be in the sport for 3 months. He did set on Olympic Record for the slowest time. (http://sports.nationalpost.com/2012/08/ ... wing-star/)

Is there anything that stood out for you?

The olympics were a bright spot in the summer doldrums of tv reruns. I enjoyed every moment I was able to watch. Of course I cheered for the USA.........but also for other countries whose athletes inspired! :D A nice treat after Christmas in July!
