Watched the closing of the Olympics last night - my oldest is a huge (obsessive) One Direction fan and just when they came on the dog (we were dog sitting) started barking. She was so frustrated. It was actually a little funny to watch. She'll be talking about that for a couple months.

Then we went out star gazing and saw a few shooting stars - wishing for snow at Christmas.

The Brits really know how to shine in Olympic shows! Loved the reunion of the Spice Girls too! A little magic before Christmas............

Christmas Crazy, thanks for the lyrics. My dd is a Grinch fanatic. We watch the movie all he time. She thinks he is the funniest thing ever. Right now she is really into Scooby Doo. Amazon has both the live-action movies on one dvd so I'm gonna buy it for her for a Christmas stocking stuffer.

These cooler temps have really got me in a fall mood. When dd goes to school next week I might drag out some of my Fall decorations.

I'm still going through stuff for the yard sale. I've started going through the stuff in the basement but I haven't started on the Christmas stuff yet. My mother did give me her old Christmas tree. It's prelit and there's nothing wrong with it. They have just gone back to using a real tree. Yay! So she told me to sell it and whatever I can get add it to the Christmas fund for new stuff.

Hej! I noticed on amazon.com that there is a new Scooby Doo compilation called Holiday Thrills and Chills. It is 13 episodes spanning the decades of Scooby Doo by theme. It would also make a great christmas gift!

It 'feels' like Fall by the calendar, as I grew up in the midwest. But it is over 114F here so I wait to decorate til September [labor day weekend]. Then it feels as if Christmas is just around the corner!
