Did you know...?
Did you know we had only 813 posts this time last year?
On September 3, 2011 we had 12 total posts from:
Tomtemor, Noel, mistletoe misfit, CandyKane, and Pretjah.
This post is number 1441.
It will be very interesting to see where the total ends up this year. :santa:

It looks like I have some limited internet access. I still have a temporary phone line hooked up, not sure when they will get around to fixing it as it involves the whole neighbourhood and running all new wire underground. But I'm taking what I can get; I just don't want to miss all my Christmas friends. :D

I found this Santa picture at Hobby Lobby that I would like to buy, but it is too expensive. $130
Maybe they will still have some after Christmas at a clearance price.
I hope everyone is having a great day!

Well back to school went well yesterday despite the rain, thunder, and lightning. Girls seem to be okay with their classes. Hubby has taken the week off, which is nice since we get to spend a little time together. Today is IKEA day, so maybe we'll get some Christmas ideas. :D

That sounds lovely! No job yet but thinking Christmas thoughts!

I have been spending my days cleaning Gotland dricku (homebrew beer from the island of Gotland) off my ceiling, walls, cabinets, and every nook and cranny. If I ever see or hear about this stuff again it will be too soon. Definitely a gift for those on the naughty list! (evil santa)

Yes, that does sound lovely!

And Tomtemor, good luck with all your cleaning. It may take you til Christmas Eve to get that all cleaned off. I once caused a pressure cooker to explode baked beans all over every nook & cranny in our kitchen, so I can relate!

Christmas Crazy, that Santa picture is beautiful. If our nearest Hobby Lobby wasn't over 60 miles away I'd go and check out their Christmas stuff. Fingers crossed for you to find this on after Christmas clearance. :D

Got my official turndown in the second interview I had last week. No surprise, it was obvious they did not like me or my Swedish. The job I really want, The Fullbright comission is still on the table. I figure if I do not hear by tomorrow that is also dead, but trying to think happy Christmas thoughts!

Our neighbor called and asked if we were still friends. I said I had not decided yet. THEN, my beautiful husband admitted he ASKED for the stuff...............good thing he is cute................or the Swedish tomte might be bringing him coal for Christmas. ;-)

Jennifer - if you call them and ask would they think that bad? I know when looking here, if we don't hear anything in about 2 weeks, most people call and ask. It lets them know that you are interested, taking the time to contact them, and reminds them about you.

Praying for your Christmas miracle. :angelpray:

I sent an email thank you following the interview. As of today it has only been 1 week. So, still hoping. Looking forward to having a Friday Christmas tomorrow!

Watching Perfect Murder, Perfect Town about the JonBenét Ramsey murder. I had forgotten that happened at Christmas.

You could let it be known that you want $$ to go toward the pic and then see if it is on sale. If you get money and it is not there, stick the money in a drawer for the next time you see something similar you want. Then the gift (money) keeps on giving (the picture). :shop:

My wife and I went to the "Yellow Daisy Arts & Crafts Festival" near Atlanta yesterday. :D
I was so disappointed. There was hardly any Christmas Crafts for sale.
But we had a great time just being together. She really is the best! :D
