Today´s Christmas project is fudge and finishing the swedish style christmas crackers for the cats and english style for hubby. Tomorrow we are in the 20´s! and then it´s time for Christmas! I checked the bakery and we do have the cheese and onion buns essential for hobbit holes. So, if they have some when we go shopping on the 23rd, that is what we have. I am thinking frozen potatoe cakes and bacon. I am not up to hashbrowns from scratch. Check out www.mrbreakfast.com if you ever need some "breakfast" inspiration. Christmas is almost here! :dinner:

and suddenly the joy is gone...........got a turndown from the english department. Not getting a job you really wanted is like a death in the family, you think you are prepared, but you never really are...............now looking for sad christmas movies so I can cry it out before hubby gets home. In no mood for making fudge or christmas crackers...............

Merry Christmas everyone!
Wow, I love this time of year, but I also think it's way too busy of a time also.
Sometimes it's hard to just sit back and enjoy it.

But tonight the house is quiet and peaceful. The Christmas tree is lit up so beautifully.
It's the only light on in the main part of the house. I praise God for times like this.
His blessings are so numerous, I sometimes fail to recognize them. But He got my attention tonight. Happy Happy Happy.

That's an insightful comment Christmas Crazy. We have to schedule quiet times with the Lord near His Birthday so the busyness doesn't distract us from His blessings.

Blessings to all my CAY friends as Christmas comes near at reindeer speed! :nav1:

Merry Last Friday Before Christmas! Listening to Christmas OTR disk, laundry going in the laundry mat, about to start normal Friday chores, then christmas cleaning and cooking tomorrow. I am going to make mincemeat tarts, deviled eggs, raisin carrot salad, and fruit salad. I think we will make the ham on Sunday. I can make the cold things while that is baking. Now, I just have to decide what to eat this weekend as the feasting does not begin until monday...........what are my christmas friends doing? i do not think hubby will go for frozen dinners.............too bad.

I am hoping for snow for Christmas this year. Unfortunately it rained today, washing away what little snow there was. On a positive note, I am officially relaxing for a week and a half!

We had the last day of our Secret Santa today and a staff breakfast at school. It is a great way to roll into the school vacation. I ended the day at the staff party at a coworker's house. We had a blast playing games and eating good food.
