Tinseltown, good luck with presenting your course. Public speaking can be tough, but if you are passionate about what you are presenting, that does make it easier. Christmas well-wishes sent your way.

Tinseltown, I also like the idea of having the Post-Christmas nibble party. As much as I would love eating all of the cookies, fudge, and treats from the holidays, I can't and shouldn't. Sharing is a much better idea. On that note, I think I feel like an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie!

I did add a Christmas in July countdown timer to my website. What fun it will be to bring together friends and family!

That is what St. Knut´s Day is for in Sweden. We will have the undecorating ceremony tomorrow (the undecorating of the kitchen tree) followed by popcorn and hot chocolate. Then for dinner, we will have a small smoked ham in a potatoe casserole with other treats sent to me by a dear Facebook friend in Germany. That post Christmas gift was such a surprise! We were wishing there was more to the "undecorating ceremomy" than just taking down the ornaments but have not come up with anything. The only thing I found on the net was a universalist church took their wednesday night activities and renamed them "undecorating ceremony" for the purpose of well, undecorating on the wednesday after new year´s. Clever idea if I were still a church admin.

I rather liked my kitchen tree. Just need to find a proper star of something to go on top and get some proper ornaments. In July it shall be reincarnated as the Christmas in July tree! Woohoo! :scene:

The undecorating ceremony was almost reuined by a lack of hot chocolate. I did not realize that no one sent us any american chocolate this year. I found one packet of unsweetened and we found 1 packet of swedish chocolate, so we were saved. The apartment is now de-christmatized.

I also noticed that by a strange quirk of the calendar, this year, Lent starts only 3 weeks after the end of Christmas on the swedish calendar.

Hoping all my Christmas friends stay healthy or get well soon!

A great weekend winds down as on Saturday night we had friends over for drinks. Instead of playing games we actually put together a puzzle! It was a nice relaxing evening. While chatting, one of our friends told us about their tradition of opening a small puzzle in their stocking Christmas morning. The family would then have a contest to see who could finish their puzzle first. I thought that sounded :scene: fun!

I have an interview with a recruiter today. Though I did not get as much sleep as I would like, I hope I do well enough to get passed onto the potential employer. Praying for that Christmas miracle!

Hope all my Christmas friends are getting well or stay healthy!
