Someone needs to tell them they got their dates wrong. ;-) But then again it is always time to celebrate Christmas! Have to see what I can find online. I am really looking forward to returning to the land of Hallmark tv.

OH! and we got good news. 1) Hubby has an appt at the research hospital on Monday, they SAID they would start treatment the same week, but I find that hard to believe since they do not know that they will be treating....and 2) He has an interview for the job he currently holds next wednesday. It would still be only temp, but we do need to eat and pay bills before we move to Texas.........our Texas...........all hail the mighty State............

Hope everyone is doing well, just finished 2nd night of VBS and we are having a great time. I am in charge of recreation time and the kids are killing me, they have so much more energy than I do. I will say that I would show more energy if it was a Christmas tree decorating contest, but we are in June and it is hot, no one (except my wife and myself) wants to think about Christmas around here. :smilecc:

You're setting a great example for the children, and instilling in them the Spirit of Christmas all year long! It's 111F here, and very hot, but children still love Christmas in July! Take your vitamins -- it helps the energy quotient when around young children [I know!] :D

hm..........a christmas in july tree decorating contest could be just the thing for the future. You can purchase the 2 ft table top trees from the dollar store or on sale, put the kids in teams, and just give them construction paper, glue, scissors, glitter, and string. With so much "virtual" creativity out there, it could be interesting for both you and the kids/teens to see what they come up with using their HANDS. They could make string garland, paper ornaments......you could add popcorn and cranberries (used to buy them in december and freeze them).......wow, I´m on a Christmas roll!

I never heard of Elf on the Shelf until this year when my cousin kept mentioning it. This is a cute idea. A "summer" check in for Christmas in July!

Just for fun last night I typed Christmas in July into Itunes. Seems there are actually quite a few songs with that title. I downloaded one by an artist simply named "Timothy" it is lightly jazzy, not my usual taste but I do not mind expanding my horizons for Christmas in july. I tried finding a youtube version to share, but no luck. You can listen to samples of songs on Itunes before you buy though. I would recommend it!

Here is another "Christmas in July" song. Once again, not my usual tastes, but it is peppy. There is another group that I listen to more for Christmas in July than December Christmas. Have to check the name when I get home. Here we go, Take 6.

Got an email about a job interview next WEdnesday, so my last day of school is Tuesday. And got a call from a recruiter on the way home from school about another possiblity. He will submit my CV to the company and see what they say. It almost feels like Christmas!
