Oh Noel! I hate that you have to go through this. Prayers for you and your family. Hoping that Christmas 2013 will make up for all the trials you've endured. :angelpray:

I finished my Christmas in July e book. It was too Christmas cute. The third installment is out this fall. I stated with book 2 for the Christmas in July theme, now I have to back up and read book 1, though there are enough clues to what happened in book 2 not to feel left out. Christmas in July is just around the corner. Perky and I will be on a cruise July 24-25 so we are still "discussing" when to have the home Hawaiian meal.........I am thinking Christmas Crazy´s suggestion of a 9 day festival is just about Christmas perfect.

With the start of actual jobs right around the corner, I am wanting to decorate for something. Is it too early to decorate for Christmas in July? Does anyone else celebrate in a big or small way? I miss my Christmas in July buddy, Noel. Praying things are going as well as possible for her..............

Anyone seen any great Christmas movies lately? Some of our Christmas in July favorites are: Christmas in July (1940), or course, Rudolph and Frosty´s Christmas in July (also obvious), Christmas Town, Moonlight and Mistletoe (year round Christmas towns), Off Season (Santa gets caught being on vacation), Call Me Claus (homeshopping theme), and Scooby Doo both the Christmas episodes as well as Aloha Scooby Doo since we do a cruise and hawaiian theme. Perky likes Snowmageddon and the Die Hard movies, 1 and 2 are set at Christmas. We also watch Home Alone 1 and 2 several times a y ear.

I typically do not watch Christmas movies yet. I'll probably start after Halloween. I like to wait because it gives me a Christmas Spirit boost right before the season starts.

You can tell it's getting closer to Christmas. Hobby Lobby has put their Fall decorations on sale (40% off) this week. My wife is their right now picking up some items for the Fall wreath she is making.

Home Alone and Die Hard are "legal" all year round, we watch non stop Christmas from American Thanksgiving to the end of January, and then again for a week in July, but with the heat and the blessed feeling of having jobs, I just want to experience that Christmas joy sooner. I have tried to put it off by pulling out our favorites and stacking them by the tv. Oh, I lied, we usually watch 1 for Christmas in August. (Aug, 24-26), but I´ll get into that later. We have Lifetime now, but no schedule so it is hard to predict what is on when with the time difference. But if we had Hallmark, I would watch the Christmas in July movies whenever they were on.

Thanks for the info, Christmas Crazy. I went to the QVC facebook page, but did not see it. I did not "like" it because I am trying to limit my facebook friends, but if they have the info, I will add them to my list. I don´t want to miss it in future years.
