On an old USB, I found a file called Christmas in July liturgy for the dedication of christmas shoeboxes. I am assuming this relates to Operation Christmas child. Sadly, I did not note which church I "borrowed" it from, but the hymns are notated UMH, so I am assuming it is Methodist. If anyone would like a copy of this order of service, send me a message and I will send you the word file. I would give a source citation if I had one.

hm.........All my Christmas friends seem to be on Christmas vacation! Perky is off to have routine blood tests today and I am going to pick up a package. I makes it feel more like Christmas.

hm.........All my Christmas friends seem to be on Christmas vacation! Perky is off to have routine blood tests today and I am going to pick up a package. I makes it feel more like Christmas.

I'm here Christmas friend. Very busy today at work.
It's almost lunch time and this is the first chance I've had to catch my breath.
But that makes the day go by very fast.

Today's mail brought an ad from Guideposts magazine offering gift subscriptions as Christmas gifts. It has begun!

HOUSE UPDATE:

Well finally got a couple of wheels moving.......almost. LOL! Fighting the insurance company is exhausting. We're paying $8k over what they allow for the flooring! I told the Lord, "ok I have to accept this" and I'm at peace now.

Made a final decision on the flooring: native jotoba from Hawaii. Its like a mid-Brazillian cherry color range. First the dryall, then the paint, and lastly the floors.

And new handles for inside doors. Paint color pending a sample wall paint........the same color looked rose in the LR, purple in my room and grey-blue in another. Old houses, small windows & differing light radiances.

I am hoping they start the actual work by the end of next week.............excited to upgrade the floors even at our own cost!

Know that you are deeply missed too my longtime Christmas friend. Sorry it's putting such a dent in your budget but your new flooring sounds beautiful.
