Merry Friday Christmas! My last one as I start to work next Tuesday. Having a regular paycheck will be nice, the downside is having to work for it. ;-)

Hubby has 1 more week off. He starts Aug. 13, then we will be two gainfully employed people and off the doll. Woohoo!

That's great Jennifer! My hubby and I had a nice day yesterday. We both woke up for work, and neither of us felt like going in, so we both decided to work from home yesterday, and let the kids stay home for the day. It was very relaxing, even though I was still working! Then later, we went to our friends' son's birthday party, and hung out with them till after 11:00 last night! So we are tired today, but had a great time! I am so thankful for such great friends, and our kids are great friends with theirs so it works out so well! They are having my son over this evening again to play, and my daughter is at my Grandma's until later this evening when the hubs will bring her home, so I get this evening ALL TO MYSELF! Going to go home and clean and rearrange my dining room/craft room. I had such a feeling of accomplishment a few days ago, because I was trying to start on that room and after 4 years of being married, I FINALLY printed out pictures to put in all of the picture frames I got at my bridal shower! lol So since I got those frames moved out of there, it inspired me to reorganize the dining/craft room and all of my scrapbooking/quilting stuff! Yay for free time with no kids to work on it tonight!! I think this will be my official start of my Christmas season cleanup!!

Hooray for work! God answers the prayers of His people.

TGIF to all my fellow CAYer's,,,,it has been a trying week this week but we are making the best of a bad situation. I have been listening to my Christmas music on my MP3 player and watching Christmas movies to help keep the spirits up. We are only a week and a half til back to school for the kids and I think the thought of summer being over is not helping the kids (all except the littlest one, he can't wait to get back to a routine). All in all I cannot complain because as long as I have my family nothing else matters. :smilecc:

Spending my last free saturday doing laundry at the laundromat and trying to keep cool. Today is supposed to be the hottest day yet. Not sure if it is a record, but probably close. Trying to think cool Christmas thoughts!

It is going to be a very busy couple of weeks for the beginning of August. My wife Michelle (teacher) and daughter KK (Sr. in high school) started back to school this past Thursday (Aug 1). My son Austin will be getting ready for his freshman year at college. We'll move him there this Thursday. My other son Dillon, junior in college, will be moving there on August 17. At church, us men will be heading out of town for our annual retreat August 9 & 10 which I have been helping plan.
I'm OK with all of this, but I think Michelle will be stressing out. You know how you women are. But this also means the I will have to start taking care of the yard, take the trash out, take care of the recycling... You know, all the things I made the boys do. But that's OK. They'll be home for Thanksgiving and Christmas soon. I'll save some work for them.
