AHA! I figured out the problem. Swedish keyboards have two symbols that look like an apostrophe. ONe is the actual apostrophe or single quote, the other is an "accent" as in é. My original Jolly O'Leary is with one key, the other is with the accent key. My net book in the bedroom is an American keyboard that does not have an accent key. Now I can be a toymaker again. Woohoo! Don´t worry, Christmas Crazy, we can get it done!

Had a good day at work for the first day. Not too many in yet. Most of the professors return next week. I actually like being nearly alone. As is par for the course in this job, I solved some problems and created others. Oh well, I have month to solve the one I created. Never a dull moment. The bus ride was anything but cool, I listened to my Christmas mp3 with the new Santa with a Finnish Flag charm on it and tried to think cool Christmas thoughts. I was listening to Miracle on 34th Street and It´s a Wonderful Life from Lux Radio Theater. You can find alot of Lux Radio theater in iTunes, some even for free.

Hubby and I have decided we want an old fashioned view master for Christmas. Remember those? Since we are too old for kids, we have to be the kids. I was also thinking it would good entertainment for the kids in my family when we visit the US. My brother´s step child is epileptic and one of my little cousins has a few disorders no one can diagnos and he is on low "electronics" diet. Surprisingly, disks are easy to find, the apparatus, however, is another matter. I am also wondering if an older working model (50´s and pre-plastic) might not have a better chance of continuing to work than models from the 70´s (my era). Any "vintage toy collectors" out there?

A bit of fun info on the Australian Christmas in July. Hubby was visiting with one of his technicians (medical treatment) this week and she mentioned how cheap it was to go to Iceland from here. hm.......now that is a place I would like to go for Christmas in July!

Hello CAYer's, hope everyone has had a great Wednesday, I have spent most of my day listening to Christmas music and getting supplies gathered for my kids to start school (we are a week away, but you can never be prepared to early), then a great back to school party for our church youth group. :smilecc:

Good Morning Christmas friends! Hubby got a call to report to the embassy today for contract signing and an intro to the job. One odd thing about the contract is a health evaluation. Please pray that this is a minor formality and not a deep dive into the medical history. I do not want hubby´s arthritis or current chemo treatment to keep him from getting the job. He is in much better shape now than when he applied. But it is a hitch we did not see coming. My job goes well, if a bit boring. I cannot really get into the work with so many still out. A few more come in next week. If I were well established in my job, I could love this "alone" time...........
