2013: 2300 Posts til Christmas

We have had some great summer weather here in my part of southern Ohio, by next weekend summer makes a return but the weather man says it will be short lived and the cooler air will be back (hooray). I have been in the Christmas frame of mind for most of the summer, it is the oldest child last Christmas in high school so it might be her last one living in this house, it is bittersweet but I know that she will always be back for Christmas (because I told her that even when she gets married, his family can have all the other holidays, but Christmas is ours).

Well, we got Dillon moved to school today. Michelle did great. She didn't cry, but she wanted to. It rained on us the entire time we were gone today. I think the gloomy day made her sadder.

I'm missing the boys a bunch, but they'll be home soon for Thanksgiving and then Christmas. We can't wait.

The weather is nice but a bit windy. We have now put up the crayfish garland to announce to the neighbors that we are having a crayfish party. Next week is Christmas in August! Since Christmas in August is celebrated at Yellowstone, I told hubby he can pick something off the Old Faithful Inn dinner menu and I would do my best to duplicate it with local ingredients. This will be interesting........

well took the kids camping friday night at a motorcycle event we go to. first time for them...they loved it.
my parents watched the kids sunday after church and the wife and i went to a local flea market
alot of christmas decorations to look through...nothing i had to have though.

as we get into fall a lot more will be getting put out there i'll have to makes sure i get back a few more times before christmas

Happy Monday to everyone in CAY land, spent my weekend at home and loved every minute of it, I do not get many weekends like this and I cherish the ones that I do get. Well, this week is going to be a busy one but I know we are getting closer and closer to Christmas so that makes everything worthwhile. The wife and myself went to the local Sam's Club this past week for some shopping and they already had some Christmas décor out with the Fall décor as well, which made the both of us smile real big knowing that the best time of the year is just right around the corner. Well, gotta go for now but hope to be back on here later today.

I had no idea you are in southern Ohio ksjreed! I am too! Southwest Ohio that is! You sound just like me! I can't WAIT for the end of this summer weather! We were LOVING the cool temps early last week! It makes me SO excited for Christmas! I want to go to Costco SO BAD because I JUST KNOW they are getting out their Christmas stuff! Yay!
