Greetings Christmas friends. It has been a busy week at work. I will be working fulltime for four weeks starting on Monday, so things might be a bit quiet. I got a bit of a disappointment with my first paycheck. Apparently, the salary I was quoted was for a fulltime position, so I get 75% of that. hm........the job is not looking quite as good now, but it is a good way to get back into the work force. I will do my year and then see what happens. We will know by Feb if hubby´s job will be permanent or not. but in the meantime, it feels good to be a "second class" citizen.

Happy Monday Christmas friends! Today is my first day of fulltime. I have a turkey question: how long do I need to let a 9 lb turkdy thaw in the fridge? We will eat it on October 12. We have Swedish thanksgiving, american halloween (Oct. 31), then american thanksgiving and then its time for Christmas! Unfortunately, Perky has not yet been summoned to the American embassy for his interview, so I doubt we will make it "home" for Thanksgiving. Our next target date is Spring Break.
