Jolly O'Leary wrote:Spent the day in the dreary gray rain running errands with my beautiful husband. They were work errands and there was something wrong with each thing I bought, plus I forgot my work keys. A useless, wasted day....about as much fun as getting coal on Christmas. The only bright spot was spending it with Perky.

This is my first day of fulltime and of course it has been one crisis after another. Wishing I could turn the clock back to Christmas vacation (minus the sickness).

I am having some health issues that need investigating. The soonest I could get a drs appt was next monday. Pray for endurance, quick diagnosis, and quick treatment if necessary. "quick" in swedish medicine is an oxymoron. ;-)
On the plus side, Perky should be getting his work contract this week. We are anxiously waiting to see its duration. It could feel like Christmas!

Aw, you are so sweet. It has been a roller coaster day! Health problems, not good. Work contract, good. And......we got an early/late Christmas present of an apartment! More details later. It is late and we have to go to work tomorrow.
Jolly O'Leary wrote:Good morning Christmas friends! Yes, we got an apartment. It could only be God as we were 8th on the list and said we were interested in it without actually seeing it. So, it will be a Christmas surprise when we get the keys and go view it for the first time. Praying it is not from the 60´s or 70´s. The building is from the 60´s, we like that part. Swedish buildings from that time were well made. We had viewed the apartment across the hall and liked it very much, we were #9 on that list, so really did not think we would get it but wanted to keep our name in circulation. Perky will follow up on the paper work today. It is available from 15 of february, but we have to pay double rent until we are finished with our current apartment and cleaned it up. I am thinking about 6 weeks since we will both keep working. We might take off the first and last week to get a jumpstart on the moving and then a week to clean the old one. There is some wall paper that needs replacing, etc. With two probably fulltime permanent work contracts AND a new apartment, I almost feel like I am dreaming.
Still having health issues. I called to see if I was eligible for ER, but sadly not, so I have to wait until Monday. Whatever it is that needs to be done could not have come at a more inconvenient time. Praying for accurate and quick diagnosis and quick treatment.
Jolly O'Leary wrote:Yes, it took us 4 years to get to somone who could diagnosis Perky´s rheumatoid arthritis. And I have had similar issues and had to wait 3 months for an appt. Then again, I have called and gotten in the same day. You just never know. But they are VERY strict on the ER and will gladly take your money and then send you home without treatment.
That is no Christmas fun!
