Are you ready to get out your Christmas decorations?

The autumn decorations stay out tip the day after Thanksgiving. Then the Christmas decorations are joyfully unboxed. We still need a new artificial tree. :D

The house is almost 99%. Relief & praise! Thanks for asking Christmas Crazy.

Today is my name day! It is a Swedish thing sort of related to saint's days. You usually get a flower, and maybe some cake with coffee. Hubby usually buys me something cheap with my name on it. Sort of like a little Christmas!

I am so ready for more fall weather. We had some very cool days/nights the last few days. In the 40's and 50's. It put me in the Christmas mood. But a warm up is coming for the next seven days. Highs in the high 80's and lows in the 60's.

Come back fall!!!!!

This Sunday is Swedish Thanksgiving. We will have a scaled down dinner instead of the huge American feast since we will be in Texas for Thanskgiving in November. Turkey breast filets roasted with sweet potatoes and leeks, smoked salmon with shredded beets, apples, and gingerroot as an appetizer (Swedish thing), and one of the previously cooked appled tarts from the freezer. Decorating is also low key as I do not know where any of the stuff is except my October/November pumpkin dishes. :-)
One more holiday closer to Christmas! Woohoo!

Merry Friday Christmas! We have the Christmas in July decorations and had not planned on doing much this year since we will be in Texas for 3 weeks and then a week in Norrland for a Swedish Christmas. The obligatory Swedish Christmas stars and candlesticks (now electric lights) are in a drawer but we have a problem. This apartment does not have window ledges............not sure how we will solve that. Today I am working at home, as in housework, other than waiting for work email, getting ready for Thanksgiving. I lose my Saturdays now to Swedish class which is no Christmas fun at all! Live365 is keeping me company with some nice Christmas tunes.

Wow, what a week/weekend. Spent the last 5 days in Indiana visiting my oldest son. We had a great visit and a fun time at a couple festivals.
The weather was damp and cool. Highs around 60 and lows in the 40's.
Reminded me of Christmas time in Georgia.
