The main mall Christmas decorations were gone yesterday, but some stores still had bare trees out and the outside lights were still on. Some candlesticks were still in the windows of the apartments around the compound, but some people leave them up until the return of the sun in March. It is strange living at the North Pole.

Congratulations! I love our overnight Baltic Sea cruises. It is amazing how cheap. Not as cheap as they used to be as our budget cruise line went out of business, but it's nice to get away and we especially like creating our own Christmas in July and Boxing day cruises! I would one day like to go up to the Norwegian fjords, that would be a nice Christmas present! :shop:

I would love one dark long winter! That's because here we average. 5 cloudy days a year. I am tired of the sun. We're in opposite strange lands Jolly. Hours is perfect for Christmas.

Went to dinner with Perky tonight at our local Lebanese pizzaria (sort of a cross between a bar/nice restaurant/ and pizzaria). There were still all decked out for Christmas! It was fun.

I am hanging out with my parents tonight watching my college alma mater play basketball in TV. All the while their Christmas tree still glows brightly. I am content!

was listening to Christmas praise music on the bus. First day since coming back from vacation that I have felt "awake" in the morning. It was hard not to raise my hands in praise.
