Last night I watched the 2013 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. And about 20 minutes into it, I started thinking something was missing. Then it hit me. I don't smell turkey cooking. I just laughed at myself. I can't wait till the Christmas season starts all over the world.

sometimes we find them online a couple of Days after the fact. I agree it's not quite the same thing, but at least we usually get to see it Before Christmas.

It's going to be a busy rest of the term at work, so I may not be around much. So looking forward to Christmas in July!

Merry Monday Christmas! Sunday anxiety was the topic of a news report here at the North Pole last week. I can relate. Got 2-3 hours sleep last night thinking of all that had to be done. Trying to think calm Christmas thoughts!

How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Or, how do you open all of your Christmas gifts? One present at a time.
Either way, complete each task one by one, and the job will be done before you know it.

Have a blessed day Jolly!

That made me laugh. Or listening to Christmas carols? One song at a time.

Last night I watched another Hallmark Christmas movie from last year.
"Best Christmas Party Ever"
It was a great movie. Maybe they will show it again for Christmas in July.

I am thinking of getting a dove Christmas ornament to hang out during Pentecost. Here is seems to have disappeared unless one is being confirmed or getting married.

:holly1: What a lovely idea Jolly! I have a couple bird Christmas ornaments but my favorite dove broke. My sister had made it from dough & baked it hard. She then painted it a lovely opalized white. A reminder of Pentecost is a lovely tradition! <3

a quick look at ebay shows they are not all that common, or it is just the wrong time of year. There's always a chance we might pick one up in Germany during Christmas in July. That would be extra Christmas special.

It's a bit early for Christmas in July, but I may not be able to find it then.

Have a good laugh. It's not Christmas, but as we celebrate a Hawaiian theme, we found this Christmas hilarious.

Requesting Christmas prayers for my uncle in San Antonio. After 30 years at the same Catholic school his contract was not renewed this year. Tough to be job hunting at age 61.
