Merry Christmas Monday! As of August 10, Perky will be a second class citizen again. He got the job at the preschool. It is not the job we were hoping for, but any job that keeps one out of the clutches of the unemployment office is a good one. He will be a Preschool admin/teacher. The salary is decent for the work. The location is in a dangerous area. But, it is only for 6 months and of course he will keep looking. It is nice to have money coming in. Almost as much fun as Christmas!

hang in there, meanwhile here is something for Leon Day, aka Half Christmas, I saw something on ebay called "Half Shell Christmas" but can't find any other reference. Might have been one of the comic books. IN the meantime here are the Heroes on the Half Shell for Half Christmas!

Hee hee if we stick with the Half Shell Heroes theme, this could be a cute Half Christmas dinner. I struck out with hazelnut coffee at the local specialty coffee store, but Perky has to go by another one on the way to his contract signing on Thursday.

Actually, it occurred to me on the bus home that if we had that really big Shell pasta here, which we don't, you could make the "turtles" slightly larger than meatballs, use Little smokies for the hot dogs, cut your bacon into pieces and then serve "turtles on the half Shell" with tomato sauce or even a green basil sauce if you want to keep the red and green theme going. With a side of egg halves (very popular here, boiled eggs, cut in half) with caviar.....and spinach for grass or lettuce or raw cabbage for crunch.........could be too Christmas cute! :dinner:

for your half Christmas listening pleasure. It is 3 hours long. I started listening at work to avoid being convicted of murder. That would be no Christmas fun.
