That says that even the children's tv channel here had a christmas in july "Mystery". I have to see if it is on demand as well.

Merry Christmas Monday! Hope all had a good Christmas in July! I am back at work with a chest cold and infected tonsils. So much Christmas fun! It is entirely possible I would have gotten this sick anyway after battling allergies for two months, but I am so grateful for being better in Germany, despite the heat, while meeting friends. It was so much Christmas fun!

I'm glad you had a great Christmas in July. I hope you get over your summer cold soon. After a week, I'm finally getting over mine. I dislike summer colds very much. :x  :|

After seeing my countless Christmas in July posts this and previous years, my aunt in Texas finally asks "So what is this Christmas in July thing? A European thing?" So I told her it is just something we (the O'Leary's) do for fun but that several other people do as well and it seems to be gaining momentum. My uncle is in music ministry so I told her some churches even have "Christmas in July" worship services and VBS.

Here is one church I found today:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOxNDDwayGo

One church I found even had a Christmas carol hymn sing for their evening service. Now they know how to Celebrate Christmas in July!

If you have to the time to watch it, enjoy! I also enjoy watching worship in English for a change. ;-)

oh it's much smaller than Christmas in July. Used to be just one day, put up the banner on the 24th, better than average meal on the 25th, Watch a christmas Movie, take banner down on the 26th. Then when I Went to work at the univ, August is VERY BUSY, no time for anything extra during the week, so we made it the weekend that corresponds to Crayfish (Kräftskiva) and Crayfish Christmas is born. Now we have a "christmas fleur de lis" and crayfish ornament we put out, that's it. But this year we are going on a train trip to see a NASA exhibit in a nearby city, so not sure we will do anything. We are not "ski" people, but I Always thought going to a ski lodge in the off season like Denali would be fun, but probably not as long as I have this job.

We used to have a Korean Christmas theme for August based on the Korean Movie Christmas in August, which really has nothing to do with Christmas, but Perky got tired of that theme.

It will months until we see 56 degrees. And then only at night. But when December comes and nears its end (around Christmas time), we will see 56 during the day. Oh happy day!
