I was all excited this morning because we are now at 120 days till Christmas. Then this afternoon something hit me. We are 121 days till Christmas is over. That's a totally different perspective I have never thought of before now. So maybe I should be focusing on 91 days till Thanksgiving. That is when we (at my house) go into 100% Christmas mode on everything. Thanksgiving day thru Christmas day is "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year!". So there you have it. Christmas Day countdown is at 120 days. My Christmas Season countdown is at 91 days.

And so it is at our home too. It's just the tradition at this forum to countdown to Christmas Day.

91 days til the Christmas decorating fa-la-la begins!!! :smilecc:

Thanksgiving launches my family into 100% Christmas mode too. It starts when Santa Claus makes his grand appearance at the end of the Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. :hohat: :santasleigh:

That is great news. I'm sure it will help make Christmas merrier for a lot of families. You'd be surprised at the number of people who don't have access to credit. Or even checking accounts. :| :holly1:

When I went to pick dd up from school yesterday I stopped by the library. I found Fern Michaels 'Wishes for Christmas'. Now if I can just find time to read it.

I was thinking they had phased that out. I Think it is a sign of the economy and will make people be able to have a better Christmas.

Tomorrow is "Deep cleaning" day at the Lundgren Lägenhet. Perky did most of the cleaning when he was unemployed and has now been back to work for 3 weeks. That combined with us being away last weekend means things have gotten a bit out of hand. Too bad those cleaning elves are not earning their keep. I guess they are all helping Santa get ready for Christmas. :gbhouse:

Woke up to a thunderstorm this morning. Nothing bad. Just enough thunder and rain to make me think I needed to stay in bed all day long. :sleephat: We even had to turn the heat on for awhile to knock the chill out of the house. :rake: Fall is coming. :D
I have decided on 2 more ideas for elf on the shelf. I bought 2 new elf couture collection skirts. The elf can bring these along with a new outfit for dd. 'New clothes for me and you'. Also I thought the elf could bring a Christmas Eve box of new Pajamas, a movie, popcorn, cocoa, etc. :smilecc:

E.L.F cosmetics is offering free shipping today. I just ordered dd nail polish, eyeshadow, and lip gloss for her elf to bring her. How cool is that! :santadance:

I'm going all out with her elf and Santa because I'm pretty sure this will be dd's last year of really believing. She's in 3rd grade now and is on the edge of truly believing and being told by her friends that there's no Santa. Sigh. I know a parent that told her preschooler there was no Santa. I'm just hoping to avoid all such Scrooges this Christmas. :carolbells:
