Well, this is convenient. Christmas in July Santa World Congress is also a week earlier than usual. That could work out.

A perfect solution to your Christmas dilemma!

Discussed the situation with Perky last night. We hope to take a 4 day cruise up the Swedish Baltic coast in June, that will be our "big splurge" for the summer. But we might take a car trip to the vicinity of Tomteland as a preliminary scouting trip. We shall see. Summer accomodations are rather expensive and I am not into "roughing it" too much. I do not mind a bare cabin and camp cooking, but I do want indoor plumbing and running water. Alternatively, I was thinking we could go see Perky's sister. We have not been up North since last Christmas. :snowwow:

So glad to see the sun shining this morning. We have 4 1/4 inches in our rain gauge. Between the rain and the wind a power pole came down and knocked us out of power for 7 hours. The quiet was actually kinda nice, but I'm thankful we are back on. Have a wonderful Wednesday Christmas friends. :smilecc:

Glad to hear your power is back on and you're all OK.

I want to get some Wassail this year too. We've never had it and I think Michelle and I will like it. It could become a new Christmas tradition!

Several years ago I went to a Christmas craft bazaar and they served wassail. I thought it was good but not so good that I've just had to have it since. I noticed the grocery store has eggnog tea. Now that really doesn't sound good to me but who knows. I won't know til I try it.

This is not like our glögg at all, though it sounds good. Maybe with all the tropical juice, it could be the Christmas in July version.

Interesting history, but still not what I Think of. I like the Three times a year she makes it. The first snow is a nice thing. Have to remember to have some Christmas glögg then. This recipe seems like a combination of glögg and eggnog. No Commercial eggnog at the North Pole, so I have to make it from scratch.

But i like to save extra days for December in case a Winter storm will be moving in during the school day, or we wanna take a girls day of Christmas shopping. :shop: :shop: :shop:

I saw on the Weather Channel where they are warning Indiana to prepare for the possibility of some accumulating snow this week. I sure hope they have snow for Christmas this year.

So far my relatives say it's a downpour state wide. I always wish for a white Indiana Christmas! :snowwow:
