We just got done taking down all of the Christmas decorations.

Oh that is the saddest day of 2016.
I keep putting off taking down even one indoor Christmas decoration. My latest because? "But last week I put new batteries in that wreath/garland/snowman. I mean it would be environmentally unsound to waste battery power.

What about a Christmas card holder?

I will start taking things down slowly. We only used the emergency christmas bag this year, so if I did it all at once, it take about 15 minutes. Will start with the lights encircling the laundry rod, I need my laundry space back. I really should get rid of most things in the downstairs boxes. In such a small apartment, the christmas in july/emergency christmas bag is just enough touches to make me happy. What I really want to find on the next trip to Texas is some mini ornaments for the Little tree in a Texas or Western theme. When hubby puts up the "Swedish" tree is in Swedish colors which means I NEVER use my hallmark ornaments. In my first marriage, the ex did not like christmas trees so we hung swag lap chains around the den, wrapped in lights, and from there I hung my hallmark ornaments and any christmas cards we received. I have been thinking of attempting to revive the "christmas chains" "tradition" so at least I get to look at my hallmark ornaments. After 6 years working at Hallmark, I have quite a Collection. hm............next year we hope to be in Texas for Christmas (or at least Close to it) so we shall see.

My prayer for the year is not to anticipate the work stress (already having panic attacks) but to take one day/moment at a time and try to find ways to handle the stress. Checking in with my Christmas friends at lunch is Always a high Point of my day.
oh, and for those of you on my facebook page. Jennifer is taking an election hiatus. I have an alternative page also under the name of Jolly O'Leary. She only has 29 select friends. If you send me a friend request, be sure to send a message saying you are part of the CAY Group.

I was thinking something a little bigger.
A few things that come to mind are a Sleigh or a Nativity scene for the outside decorations, or maybe permanent fasteners on the house for hanging the Christmas lights.
I don't know, we'll have to wait and see.
