The signs around town are draped in black. What a rout. Still........they're #2 in the nation and they can hoild their heads up high for that record. Christmas bummer. There definitely were some very happy children at the Panther stadium! Go Broncos!

Jolly O'Leary wrote:Had some sad news over the weekend. A good high school friend's father died. He was 91 so he had a good long life, 2 wives (my friend's mother died the year after we graduated), 4 kids, grandkids, etc plus the one's he inherited from his second wife. They were married 20 years. My parents were able to go to the visitation in my place. I was very Christmas grateful.

So very sorry for your loss Jolly. It is always hard to lose a person you care for even if their life was long and full. So glad your parents were able to attend and represent your heart to the family. May God comfort you all. Remember the gift of Christmas who came to heal your broken heart.

There are some Christmas sites specifically for Rudolph Days. It is a way to make Christmas tasks easier by spreading them out over the whole year. I had a glance at it and January is basically "clean up" month. There are more detailed sites, just google it. I had a friend once who on every 25th of the month would either listen to a Christmas CD (you remember those round things that go in boom boxes) or watch a Christmas DVD (also round went in a DVD player). She was ahead of her time it seems. Rudolph Day is payday at the North Pole so I try to remember to wear my reindeer socks or at least red ones, and I got a pair of "weed" socks to wear in the summer months. They were the only summer socks I could find in red and green. The strange thing is they are SO comfortable. I could consider getting more for that reason. My family thinks they are hilarious as promoting "weed" is about as far from my basic personality as you can get, but they are sneaker socks and no one else sees them. :rudolph1:

I stopped by the library and picked up another Christmas book by Richard Paul Evans 'The Mistletoe Inn'. :holly1:

8-) It's a much too sunny and too warm Wednesday for my liking but with relatives still waiting for roads to be plowed in the Eastern USA I am content. Just an average Wednesday here today. Hoping for a quiet evening to get us through til the weekend. Our plain ordinary lives are still music to my heart. Wishing each of you a blkessed day! :penny:
